Rooms were rather dirty when we were there. Microwave wasn't cleaned out. There was a lack of toilet paper or other amenities that should be included in a hotel stat. The heater didn't work properly so it was freezing cold all night.

One of the barmaids was very helpful with trying to resolve our issues. But it seems over all they have a lack of proper management to make sure the rooms and cleaned and prepared for people staying there, and stocked.

Food in the actual pub was great though. Chips were awesome. Barramundi was fresh. Gravy tested great. All good portion sizes. So nothing to complain about food wise

If you are looking for a pub or bistro in Wallerawang, this is not the place for you. This location was formerly a pub that locals called "Top Pub". Under the new owners the venue no longer trades as a pub and operates in the accomodation and function centre space instead. Any reviews and photos of when this venue was a pub should be disregarded. If you are looking for a pub, a couple of doors down Main St there is a pub that is operational and sees steady trade through the day.

On the upside, now that this venue focuses on accomodation, it is a fair bit quieter at night at this location which should make for a more restful nights sleep for guests. This may be important to you.

Gave low score because you will see in the reviews how the new management went back through old reviews and responded to them like they applied to the establishment during their ownership. Then in some other instances chose to wash their hands of something mentioned in a review because they are new management. The latter is ok, but I think that the way they have tried to leverage older reviews is really questionable.

I made a reservation for a quiet and pleasant experience with my family.We arrived at the hotel by driving for three hours, but unfortunately, we received a message and an address stating that we had booked another hotel with a duplicate reservation But my family wanted to stay at the place I reserved, not another hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, we waited at the hotel entrance for an hour until the refund, and fortunately, we received an answer about the refund and our family had to drive for another 3 hours. I prepared pork and wine beer for the barbecue party and had a baby so I thought I had everything perfectly prepared, but the content of the double reservation shocked me. My family had the worst experience on Saturday and I thought it was great sadness, frustration and trust. Unfair and full of anger, I had to stop by McDonald's and go home with a big sigh while drinking hamburgers and coke I will not visit this area again

This place is cheap but I wouldn't stay here again.

The biggest problem was that my room's window opened on to the living area and could not be locked. A person could enter the room from the living room through it. A huge security risk and I had a mobile phone charger stolen by another delightful guest during my stay. If I were a woman I wouldn't have felt comfortable sleeping in that room.

Bed was clean, but the room had a bad smell. Walls are thin and I could hear the TV blaring in another room. Bathrooms were small but fairly clean. The water fountain in the living area was also missing a bottle.

I recommend a drive out to this pub. Food was delicious, my t bone was perfectly cooked, a great size, very well priced, affordable. Friendly, attentive staff and people. My wife had a snitzel with bacon and cheese, it was big and tender. Plenty of parking. Surprised how good everything was. Thanks staff at the Royal.

Myself and my husband had a lovely stay for 8 nights during Christmas. A very tidy cabin equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Peaceful environment and a nice view of the mountains from the balcony. Definitely want to come back again.

Stayed in the cabins, first night absolutely freezing all night the heating sucked could just feel it no electric blankets on beds as advertised.not enough milk or suger for a cuppa, the tea bags were horrible they had a funny taste. The shower mat was filthy not enough toilet rolls. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend it either.
