Easy parking and pleasant gardens. It was quiet and provided varied walking options. Personally loved sir joseph banks glass houses, a lovely hidden treasure.
Lovely places to sit and reflect or eat a picnic. Flat paths are perfect for wheelchairs and prams etc.
Toilets are clean.

What a great place! In the middle of suburbia, it still manages to stay quiet and tranquil. The nature wellness trail is a great idea. I especially loved the Sculpture In The Garden exhibition this year (2025). Thank you for allowing this in your space 😍

“Wollongong Botanic Garden is an absolute gem! The garden is beautifully maintained with lush greenery and vibrant flowers spread across a huge space. It’s such a calm and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing stroll or just soaking in nature’s beauty. The adorable ducklings waddling around add a charming touch! It’s also an amazing spot for family gatherings, with plenty of picnic areas and scenic spots to enjoy. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for a serene escape or a fun family outing!

It's a huge garden and tidy. Overall the garden is outstanding, the walk path is good, the garden is clean. Maybe the minuses are in toilet comforts and some facilities are not working like the front fountain and the water inside the pool is dirty.

Wollongong Botanic Garden is a vast and beautiful space, but walking in the sun can be challenging. The night cinema events seem interesting. There is a good variety of plants, and exploring the garden takes time. Walking uphill in summer can be tiring. It was a quiet day when we visited, so picnic, restroom, and water facilities were limited.

So beautiful, so many different flowers and plants, the colours and scents were amazing, strolled around for a few hours, there's also a kids fenced play area, a few BBQ's, They looked electric, didn't have a close up look, well worth the visit!
Be aware of the toilets, they are so low, I thought it was a kid's toilet, almost fell off 😂 looked at the others and they were all the same, quite funny expecting to sit down and you go lower than expected. 🤪
I recommend visiting, pack a picnic or have a BBQ.
