I don’t think it’s a great idea to use forced labour, especially involving people on community corrections service. It raises safety concerns for everyone involved, especially when those individuals are treated poorly and like they're all worthless by staff. It’s understandable that being disrespected can lead to frustration, and I’m surprised there hasn’t been more tension between staff and these individuals. I'd hate to be staying there should it happen.

I spoke with a few of them, and while they all have criminal charges, many of those charges are quite minor. Maybe the staff should reconsider their approach to avoid escalating situations or resentment. It wouldn’t take much for things to go wrong. Just think about Bondi—sometimes, it only takes one incident to change everything.

Hope Hostel is a Non profit organisation that uses minimum-wage staff and even forced labour from community corrections. The end result is a poor quality service to its residents. Avoid like the plague. They are understaffed with low quality resources. The help that you require is not likely to be found here, if at all, and you would be better advised to seek shelter in the caves of Wuhan if you wish to avoid viruses and infections.

Rooms are not 5 star great let's be honest but for a homeless situation it's pretty good it's kept clean through out the hostel. In regards to Service most staff are nice few gee ups tho but their their to help or they wouldn't do the job. Location fantastic near the hospital which makes it a fairly safe spot and is secure. Food their is hektik I mean hektik real mad feeds for the fellas going through a hard time so I gave it a 4 out of 5

While I stay in hope hostel I witnessed that they treat people with high level of respect polite zero descrimination food is so ok the hostel is so reasonable clean the homeless outreach team is so professional unbelievable that homeless people can get such service dear government this doctor and his colleague was so professional please give them more power to solve homeless people

Amazing staff, great warm meals, multiple services available for those in a tough situation. Would recommend this place above all others if you are desperately in need of a roof over your head.

Don't recommend it to anyone else cause wasn't a good place to start and I had a bad experience with staff we're they weren't understanding and didn't want to hear what happened they judge and belittle you witch I haven't got time to explain the facts when theyve made up their minds and how disrespectfull does that sound to you anyway glad I got outta thier shows how loving and caring hope hostel is for anyone who wants to be with them that's how the experience of staying there for two weeks was just wanting to tell you about the way you will be treated like that isn't how you treat a person who is vunerable to get a room for a few days and didn't see anything that you can do that will help you with your life they make it feel like home in thier shoes hey I didn't sign up for employment and I will be at your feet when you say jump get a real job and make sure your not going to be looking over thier shoulder 24/7

Extremely dangerous place to be. Constant methamphetamine use pretty much encouraged by staff- nothing is done about it. Was threatened on multiple occasions, reported to staff and like normal absolutely nothing done about it.
