Fabulous experience onboard the historic vessel, sailing in AWBF at Hobart to watch the regatta fireworks. It was great to interact with the crew, live demo of all the rope work & sail work climbing up the high sails while sailing, greeting the other boats while passing. Very spacious on the deck to move around and enjoy the smooth sailing, beautiful sunset and the fireworks.

If you want to experience a regress in maritime history on the best harbor in the world do book on a trip on the James Craig. A graceful voyage with an experienced crew, all volunteers, climbing up the masts rigging the sails with the sea chants from Sally getting you involved in heaving the ropes to pull the sails. Such an experience you must enjoy and only here in Sydney.

The volunteers who sail this ship are legends , hard working , friendly and knowledgeable . Our criuse was unfortunately spoiled some what by too much rain and not enough wind but watching these dedicated people move around and talk about their ship made the day a pleasurable experience.

Amazing ship. Thank you Bob for all the info about the ship. The staff was friendly and helpful. The ship has an interesting background history it's worth going to have a look. It's one of the must see things to do when in Sydney. Highly recommend going to have a look 😊😊😊.

Fabulous day out under Harbour Bridge, past Opera House and out through Sydney Heads . An experience of past sailing methods in our modern times. Crew fabulous especially Sailing Sally our entertainer, teacher and passenger rep. She was unbelievable and after all that climbed to secure the sails. One woman sailor. Passengers just be aware seasickness could be experienced take the pills beforehand

Just got off the James Craig during their nye celebration and it was worth it! We were the closest boat to the harbour bridge during the 9pm AND midnight fireworks! Because the James Craig is a heritage museum it takes priority over all other boats in the exclusion zone. In my opinion it was worth the money for this once in a lifetime opportunity! Most other boats were far from the harbour bridge and paying extra for the James Craig goes a long way!

Spend an afternoon sailing on a real 19th century ship - one of only 4 in the world that are still in service. The ship has been beautifully restored and maintained and is a living museum.

She has sailings every two weeks in summer, crewed entirely by volunteers - passengers get to help with the ropes.

And keep an eye out for the James Craig music club which has performances on the ship roughly every month on a Thursday night. Snug below decks in the winter.
