As a Wedding Celebrant in the Hunter I get to visit some fabulous venues. Mistinthegumtrees certainly fits into the fabulous category! It’s peaceful, beautiful and the gum trees are so tall! Full of gorgeous photo opportunities, a purpose built, sandstone ceremony spot and the sound of birds are just some of the things that make it so special. Carol the owner is organised, onsite and wonderful to work with. I can’t wait for my next Wedding at Mistinthegumtrees!

We had our wedding here just a few weeks ago, from our initial meeting to our glorious day the hosts were amazing. Whilst rain has been a major issue for the past few months leading up to our day, Carol and her team still made sure that the property was at its perfectly manicured state as per usual, even putting in a tonne of fill around to make sure we and our guests were still able to get round the property, they truly went above and beyond. They were with us the entire day making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish which really helped take the stress away.
We had the option of bringing in vendors of our choice which we found great. The cabins are gorgeous, have everything you could possibly need, and are very comfortable.
The Ceremony area is Stunning, as are the various spots around the property perfect for all your photo needs.
Could not recommend this venue more highly, if you are going for a gorgeous rustic style wedding then look no further, you will not be disappointed!

My now wife and I had the most amazing wedding thanks to Carol. She was an awesome host, every second of the day was under control and ran so smoothly, it could not have been better. Everything she has worked on is stunning.

All the cabins had everything you would expect and need. Our guest who stayed, all commented on how comfortable and beautiful the cabins were.

The ceremony area is next level. It was so perfect!

I doubt we could have found a better venue that had everything and was this beautiful. It is well worth having a look to see the beauty for yourself!

We celebrated our daughters wedding in this magnificent setting over the weekend. The owners/hosts worked incredibly hard to present the lawns & venue in a thousand ways including spreading soaking fillers after extremely heavy rain up to 24 hours before & then light rain on the morning.
We hosted 150 people in a pretty picnic setting bringing in the equipment & styling the Bride & Groom wanted which set off the natural gum tree setting beautifully.

This review is a long time in the making. Went with a large group of mates end of last year and I gotta say it was an absolutely incredible experience and we had an absolute blast! Not only was the place beautiful and cosy and we'll furnished but Carol the host went above and beyond her role as host. There are plenty of cool places to drive to around the area and the place is great to just crash at after a long day. Will definitely be coming back some time and am very looking forward to it!

Our cabin was gorgeous and combined STYLE with LUXURY (not easy to find in rural Australia). Set on the edge of the forest, it was peaceful and beautiful. Our host was wonderful and couldnt have been more helpful, providing lots of information on the area including where to find wild Kangaroos. Although we didn't need to look far as we had a visit from some Kangaroos late one evening, which we watched from our terrace.

We'd stayed in many places during our road trip from down from the Sunshine Coast to Sydney and this was certainly one of the best. Highly recommend it to anyone.

This is definitely 5 STAR accommodation.

This place is truely fantastic. The surroundings were beautiful, the cabins are beautiful and Carol was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to make us all feel very welcome and ensured our friend Edward had the best birthday. She is truely inspirational and her work is fantastic. Highly recommended wonderful place. You can also horseride next door. Will be coming back soon for sure. 5 stars for everything xxx

The BEST self-contained cabins that I have EVER stayed in. Very high standard of cabins, incredible setting, beautiful landscaping, wonderful Australian wildlife, & the most amazing Host ever... Thank you Carol for a wonderful stay.
