Pretty Pine Hotel is not like any pub I’ve been to — it had a real home-like feeling that made the whole experience special. The staff were amazing and genuinely welcoming, going out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The food was excellent, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. We also loved the free camping out the back — a peaceful and convenient bonus. Can’t recommend it enough!

We recently came across Pretty Pine Hotel on our travels from the Sunshine Coast - what a hidden gem! It was like a step back in time in the best of ways, exactly how we envision a pub in the country should be. Such a great atmosphere and we felt incredibly welcome.

The food was delicious and the beer incredibly cold. We had the Parmi and the wings, and especially the wings were probably the best we’ve ever had.

All we can say is if you’re in the area, this place is worth a detour and we can’t wait to go back!

10/5 Stars!
We made the trip out to the Pretty Pine Hotel for my birthday and honestly, I couldn’t have picked a better spot! This little pub is dainty, quiet, full of charm, and absolutely worth the drive.

While there were no margaritas on the menu (birthday dreams slightly crushed), the food more than made up for it — seriously, every dish was spot-on delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and you feel like you’ve stumbled into a secret country treasure.

Small tip for first-timers: maybe rethink your football colours... unless you’re flying the Geelong Cats flag. The owner’s loyalty is crystal clear — I’m pretty sure wearing anything else might get you smaller chips (kidding... kind of).

Fantastic service, great vibes, and food that’ll have you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal. Thanks Pretty Pine for making my birthday extra special — we’ll definitely be back!

Great country pub, fantastic service, cold beer, large open fire, great meals ... especially the scotch fillet steak. Friendly staff and locals, good grassy camping out the back with water and power

On a recent tour of the area our group stopped at Pretty Pine Hotel for lunch. We were impressed when all 25 meals came out at the same time and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. I loved mine, pork belly which was perfect

Great way to pay for accomodation! Meal for overnight campsite.
Scotch Fillet in the top 3 I have ever had. I hate my steak bleeding, and chef presented a 400g steak not burnt and just barely pink on the inside. Perfect for me!

Situated behind the hotel, the level camping area is free. Some powered sites with water, otherwise lots of non-powered areas. Very basic toilets, but most vans are self-contained anyway. You can top up with water from several taps. Being free and behind a pub, it is suggested to buy a beer and/or meal. We did both and the meal (pork belly) was fantastic and as good as any restaurant where we have paid much more for pork belly. The "barmaid" was also the cook. Worth her weight in gold! A lot of history to be seen inside the hotel - read the farming magazines stacked in the dinning room - the oldest was from 1924!! Even the placemats were from old newspapers. Well worth the stopover.

Stayed at this pub Sunday 12.03.2023.
Staff were accommodating, food was plentiful and tasty.
Staff could not have made my stay any more enjoyable.
Don't come here if your expecting the Hilton because it's not. It's a country pub with some minor faults but the service and food far out wayed that.
The locals were also friendly.
