Stayed here as close to Concord Hospital (20 minute walk). Dinner was delicious, husband says it was the best schnitty he’s ever had (and he’s had a few!)|Staff were very attentive and looked after us extremely well. Ravi helped us carry our bags upstairs (he didn’t have to, but a great young man). The manager allowed us to store our bags in a locked room for the day, so we didn’t have to lug them around the city. He also helped move our bags up and down the stairs. (We both have knee injuries). Room was very comfortable and clean. All you need.

The hotel itself is nice, decent location, friendly staff, and the overall vibe isn't bad. But the actual accommodation? Woeful.

I stayed in Room 10 and it felt like my bed was sitting in the middle of a bar. The noise from downstairs was outrageous, TVs blaring, people shouting, sleep wasn’t happening before 2am. On top of that, the room was cold, noisy, and seriously dated. For the price and the promises, this setup isn’t good enough.

If you're just here for drinks and atmosphere, great. If you're hoping to actually sleep, good luck.

What a great pub stay.
From check in we were greated by a lovely young man.Dinner was awesome. Asked about the speakers to be turned down in the accommodation area and it wasn't a problem.
Beer is great. Would definitely stay again.
Thanks to the management team for the staff yoy have.
I have been in the liquor industry for 30 years and would recomend the staff. Thank you .

It's a nice pub - one of the very few in the area.
The bistro area is very cosy. They got outside seating (next to a small street) as well, with heaters in winter. Easily accessible from Concord West station.

Abysmal would be generous. 45 minute wait for bang average food. Staff clearly intoxicated and asking to see other customers bank app to prove money was paid. Zero customer service. Wouldn't go back if it was free.

Stayed 2 nights at the end of may. It was a convenient location for me. I Was in room 15 which had its own shower/toilet/jug/fridge/microwave. Reasonably modern…No plates or cutlery in room to use if you had your own food. No heating for winter… I slept with a jumper on and threw an extra blanket on… the meal I had on Sunday night in the bistro was beautiful ( baked salmon) . Rooms are located upstairs so if you don’t like stairs… avoid…

I really like this place. It's my local. There are other places but this one I choose first.

It's got low lighting. Generally quiet. The staff are super chill with my toddler. The food is consistently good.

You can watch all the sports if you want but that area is separate to the dining area, that's a huge plus for me.

I like the staff. I like the atmosphere. I like the food. I obviously like the beverages. I go almost every Saturday night for dinner. You probably should too, but save a table for my group.

The hotel staff were great, even let us store our bags for the day of our flight in the evening. Though we were advised an 11am checkout is okay over the phone but when it came to 10am we were promptly kicked out of our room. The facilities were not great. Firstly you are unable to bring any food upstairs from the pub, which is very unusual for a hotel pub. There were several families of cockroaches throughout the hotel over our two night stay, namely the bathrooms at both ends of the building and the stairwell. The shower water pressure was near non existent and the temperature fluctuated between arctic and the surface of the sun. Every single one of the bathrooms and toilets lacked any form of soap or hand towel. The bed was an old spring mattress reminiscent of an 80s futon couch, We went to lengths of using the duna and blanket as extra padding and just using the single sheet to sleep under, luckily it was pretty damn warm. The air conditioner faulted twice, once each morning - to which we were told it was a brand new unit. The windows led to a rooftop area and did not lock, leading to some safety concerns. The room itself wasn't unclean by any means, but the carpets outside the rooms and particularly on the stairs smelled strongly of old cigarette smoke stains. Though the food downstairs was of reasonable quality.
