I had a wonderful stay at RAMS Motel Coonamble. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials for a relaxing stopover. Location and service is good nice place to stay at affordable cost. For the price, the motel offers great value and provides a comfortable experience

I’d been to Coonamble a few times before, but this was the first time I had stayed there. I was put up in the Artesian Motor Inn which had recently undergone a renovation.

The room I stayed in was ok, clean and had everything I needed for the few days I was there. It wasn’t a large room but there was enough space to work, sleep and chill after a long day. The older style air conditioner was a bit temperamental though, and I woke up one night to it somehow being 26 degrees! Didn’t need it on for the rest of the night, was warm enough to switch it off! There is also a rather bright security light in the common area/car park which came straight into my room and the blinds weren’t enough to block it all out. There’s also a BBQ in the common area that would be great in summer too.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The owner came over during our stay to say hi and tell us about the “premium rooms” opposite that also included continental breakfast, larger beds and a few other bits and pieces. These apparently fill up fast and booked in advance by travelling council workers, FIFO, etc so if you know your dates, book ahead. I sneaked a peek while they were being cleaned and to be honest, I really could tell the difference in the rooms.

The Artesian is located a little bit outside of town at only a few minutes’ drive but it’s a bit far to walk back, particularly at night. The local Bowling Club has a shuttle, but it doesn’t always operate so my advice would be to drive into town for dinner.

There are a handful of other accommodation options closer to town but if you’re after somewhere a bit quieter at a reasonable price, the Artesian is worth looking in to.

A surprise. Great value, recently renovated room, spotlessly clean, crisp fresh bedding. Only issue was aircon which was stuck on 19 deg. And appeared to b3 cooling only - was 11 deg in morning and some heat would have been good. Would definitely stay again. Recommend.

We have spent only one night at the motel but we found the service extremely friendly and accomodating. We arrived late and one of the staff was waiting with our key at the motel entrance.
Our room was newly painted, new carpet, very clean, beds very comfy. The place is very quiet, no noise all through the night.
We definitely recommend this place for a stop over!

Lovely hot shower if you need one .
the air conditioner WORKS and not noisy.

I have been a room attendant for 15ys so I am a little picky with clean rooms and I can say very happy with the service and the room. I was worried because it's on the main highway it would be noisy but it's lovely and quiet
we will be back again. Thanks for taking the extra time to care about what the customer is after.

Super nice people, and easy to communicate with. They’re very understanding and will go out of their way to help in any way that they can. Nice clean rooms, good location with a BBQ area and pool.
Was very helpful to have a place to park with a trailer that had heaps of room for turning around as well.
Overall had a great few nights here. Would recommend.

The Taj Mahal it is not.
A safe cosy and clean, very budget friendly place to spend a night or two to wash off road dust and
relax with hosts that are very accommodating to help with your needs, it most certainly is. If ever through this way again I will certainly use this as a waypoint.

Just spent 30 minutes writing a glowing review….and lost everything I’d written!
I liked the place so much, I’ll try again.
My wife and I stayed there last night (February 3rd, 2025)
We only stayed 1 night, as we were just passing though.
To be completely honest, we chose to stay at Artesian Motel because they were the cheapest motel in town. (and we figured new management would be trying hard to impress, so it could be OK)
All we really hoped for was CLEAN…..and it certainly was.
Relatively SPACIOUS…. and it was.
Good PRICE…….and it definitely was.
HELPFUL, FRIENDLY hosts….and they definitely were.
Bonus for us was the huge, comfortable bed…the fluffy, large towels and just the fact that the room was spotless.
(Our only gripe was the lack of a toaster in the room. I thought toasters were mandatory in motel rooms😂😂)
I would, without hesitation, stay there again (and ask for a toaster😂😂)
I would, without hesitation, recommend this motel to family and friends.
Congratulations to the new management….I think you’ve done a wonderful job.
