😀 2 bedroom apartment, good size rooms and Air con in all rooms. Could cook meals at night. Handy restaurant down stairs.
😡 Was not told before arriving that the pool and spa were out of action.
Booked ocean view room where put on level 4 with view of a palm tree and noise from downstairs bar was very loud.

I haven't personally stayed here but as a travel agency owner, I have recently had a lovely family stay at your apartments. I was not thrilled to hear that your pool was out of action, understandable with recent weather events but it would have been good to have been notified of this. This was quite disappointing to hear from my clients. Also, I have emailed you multiple times regarding different matters and I have not had a single response.

The location was great, the facilities were great the room we were upgraded to after first room had ants was good
We had ants and bugs in our room/bed then when we let them know they tried to down grade us to 5 levels lower, the reception lady was rude about it all however after I chucked a stink and spoke with manager she was amazing and sorted the issue out straight away

We stayed on the 12th floor 2 bedroom ocean view for one week. We were very sceptical as there are many negative comments.
We enjoyed our stay.

Few things worth mentioning
1. Take garbage bags, cleaning stuff dishwashing liquid and tablets, toilet paper and tissues. only one garbage bag is provided.
2. There is only one loud fan for the bedrooms. It gets so hot in the bedrooms. ( would be amazing if they installed ceiling fans)
3. The aircon doesn’t work unless you leave it on 21. And it doesn’t get cold. We had 40 degree days and it was super hot in there. (Probably needs to be looked at)
4. The balcony is beautiful but when the aircon is on you can’t sit out there as the outside unit blows hot air. (Ceiling fan outside might assist)
5. The pub downstairs on a Fri and sat night is super loud with the hot weather you can’t leave the windows open if you need kids to sleep. (Again ceiling fans would help)

With all of the above it was a good stay and our room was not worthy of a negative review. Just a few things that would make the stay more pleasant.

These people stole money from my bank account one month after we had stayed at these apartments. They said we broke the rangehood and the outdoor shutters. We had not touched them. I took them to the Office of Fair Trading and then to QCAT to get my money back. The courts ruled in my favour, and my money was then returned. Be sure to take photos of everything when you arrive and when you leave. Ensure all photos are time stamped as it will assist the process if you need to take them to court.

So many bad points to make but I'll focus on the basic human requirements not met. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but don't want other families to be left in the situation we were faced with. We booked 4 nights for a family of 4. Views are amazing, the room was ok, dusty, mouldy and outdated but generally tidy. The deal breaker for us was the lack of BASIC amenities. We were only provided one dishwashing tablet, one bin bag and 2 toilet rolls for 4 PEOPLE for 4 NIGHTS!!! We had our 5 year old son on the toilet after doing a number 2 needing toilet paper, called reception and were informed it wasn't a serviced apartment. We understand it's not a serviced apartment, I'm not sure who is responsible, but 2 toilet rolls was not enough for 4 people for 4 days. We will be forced to leave dirty dishes and rubbish everywhere due to other supplies lacking. I guess they're hoping the view and location is enough to make up for their other short fallings.

I do not recommend staying here. You will become unwell will the horrendous smell and smoke smells. Rooms are old, tired and need a deep clean. This was a special occasion and was left disappointed. ||My family became ill because of the uncleanliness of the apartment and constant smoke smell. Read the reviews of the Grand Hotel apartments Labrador on trip advisor. They tell the true story.||The receptionist is very short with her attitude and goes out of her way to not to help. Further it was advertised as 12pm check out on Groupon and I confirmed this. However on the morning they did not honour it and my elderly family members had to wait two hours outside!!! This is unacceptable.||There is no ceiling fans or aircon in the bedrooms. They are horrendously hot. The second bedroom is a study with no wardrobe. It’s just a tiny room with two single beds shoved in it. |||The beds were horrendous especially in the 2nd bedroom - they were so hard. ||They definitely only supply 1 of everything, 1 dishwasher tablet, 1 dish liquid sachet, 1 garbage bag, 1 roll of toilet paper. I really believe you should be supplied 1 of everything for every day of your stay. If they require you to buy your own they should let you know in advance so you can pack them and bring with you from home.||The whole room needs a deep clean and replace dirty toilet seats etc. the oven didn’t work and it just felt grotty and unclean.||Noise wasn’t too bad on the 8th floor but lower floors you would hear the rowdy pub below. ||The pool is large but gets cold with the constant wind. The sauna was broken and the steam room was dirty: tiny gym.||About this place it is not worth the money and we were very dissatisfied. Read the real reviews on trip adviser. They have 3 stars for a reason. The place is a health hazard. ||

My parents stayed here. Both in their eighties. The lounge was absolutely disgusting, even after they tried to clean it. We couldn’t sit on it because there was no support.
The dishwasher was switched off at the power point, under the sink.
The chairs outside wrre old and ripped. The cushioning wad coming out of them. We sat at the table for lunch and it was wobbly and falling to bits. The insinuation that because it was a Groupon we shouldn’t expect a good quality room is not acceptable.
My parents have stayed at this resort multiple times and this stay was very disappointing. Totally refused any refund. They offered to move them to another room but they were only there for a couple of days and too much work for them to move.
