Hidden Gem on Macleay Island!
Tucked away in the heart of Macleay Island, this little fish & chip shop absolutely blew us away! The seafood was freshly cooked to perfection—both the crumbed and beer-battered options were top-notch. We especially loved the succulent scallops, giant calamari rings and the fresh, local prawns.

The beer-battered chips were golden, crispy, and addictive. And don’t skip dessert—the fresh pineapple fritters, dusted with cinnamon and sugar, were next-level. So good there wasn’t a crumb left on the plate!

While it’s mostly geared for takeaway, there are a few seats available—but bring some insect repellent just in case!

MI Takeaway always impress! Excellent fish and chips, great serving sizes, cooked to perfection - grilled, battered and crumbed.
The calamari rings are enormous. The fish selection is extensive. A regular family treat 🐟 🍤

I love carrot cakes and they had a fresh tasty carrot cake. I struggle finding fresh carrot cakes from mainland cafes so was very happy to find a fresh and tasty one to go with my coffee! 😊

Our fish and chips tonight was beautiful as usual. Although I prefer Hoki, the fish I had was so tasty, fresh and so generous I have leftovers. Thanks again for a lovely dinner.

Such a friendly club, with a fantastic outlook direct across the ocean and the other islands.
Great drinks, excellent food, good prices, and Live Entertainment. Loved it.

Can highly recommend. We make this a fairly regular take out and the food is always consistent. If your looking for great fish and chips you can't go wrong here!

Depends on who is making the food, but most of the time, the food is not that bad, BUT I get 0 salt on my chips ALL THE TIME😐 even tho I'm asking for some !!
