We are a Brisbane premium boutique wine label and we recently hosted an event at The Summit and it was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. The food was stunning, the service was flawless, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. Everything ran so smoothly – the team clearly knew what was happening at every moment, which made the whole afternoon seamless. They worked so well with our team and our event schedule and requirements also.

Our guests raved about the experience, and the food pairings with our wines was spot on. The Summit team truly went above and beyond to deliver a top-notch event, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. From our initial inquiry for this venue to the end, the process was fantastic. Highly recommend this venue for anyone wanting a memorable, well-executed event.

We went here for our anniversary. We had put in the comments for the reservation that we would like a good seat with a view.

Firstly, we were greeted by the host wishing us a happy anniversary and leading us to the seat she had cherry picked for the occasion. Lovely staff! We were promptly served coffee and were given a time frame for when the food would be ready as it was being freshly made, which made for a comfortable start.

The brunch had a range of dishes each having a unique flavour. Presentation was beautiful! Our food was accompanied by great tasting coffee and crisp mimosas. Would also recommend the Blood Orange Spritz.

Overall, if you want a high quality brunch with an Australian twist and magnificent view, go here! 🤗

A long awaited dinner at the newly renovated Summit Restaurant at Mount Coot-tha. As always the view is the absolute show stopper highlight. Stunning!

The restaurant itself has been impeccably renovated. A lovely bar and lounge area when entering looks very classy and inviting. The outside deck area is gorgeous with magnificent sprawling views across Brisbane city and suburbs.

The inside dining area has a feeling of warmth and elegance. Our table had a beautiful view, as did most other tables in the restaurant.

We chose the premium tasting menu for $120 per head. We were unfortunately quite disappointed. Everything about the look and feel (and price) of the restaurant said high standards and top quality. Yet the food standard didn’t match that at all.

The dishes had either mismatched flavours that completely opposed each other, or very basic ingredients presented in a way that made it look like it was higher quality than it was.

For example, a delicate creamy pate atop a breaded crouton, with a red very strong flavoured salt n vinegar powder dusted all over it that just didn’t match, and was almost inedible.

Many of the dishes used a lot of plain sour cream, or cream cheese, which felt like dining at a bistro, beautifully presented on the plate but there was nothing in the flavours… and very mismatched.

For example, there was a potato hash rectangle that was presented with a large dollop of plain sour cream on the side with fish roe on top. No added herbs or flavours to the sour cream. The flavours just weren’t there, and the dishes lacked taste and culinary artistry.

The waitstaff were lovely but our dishes were rushed very quickly despite the restaurant having plenty of available tables. We had to ask a couple of times to slow everything down. At one point we had 4 courses sitting in front of us.

None the less we had a beautiful night due to the company and the lovely atmosphere. The food wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t great, and it wasn’t of the expected standard to match the price.

Would I go back again. I don’t think so. Maybe for a beer or wine on the deck during the day… but that’s probably the extent of it. Hopefully they will work out the kinks and if we do decide to go back in 6 months time it may be a different experience.

5/5!! I cannot stress this enough. I spent the whole lunch break at work today raving about my experience last night. We had the Special Taste set menu and it was so incredibly good! Well worth the price, even though I am not one to usually spend heaps on food. My 14yr old sisters loved it all the way to my grandparents who also loved it. The portions were perfect (enough to enjoy and be satisfied by the end of the menu), the atmosphere and view incredibly beautiful and the service was amazing. I have already recommended this to so many people so I had to write a review as well!

The reopening of the Summit Restaurant is an added bonus to the southeast corner of Queensland.

I think that a lot of people have been waiting for this major upgrade to be completed to be able to get back to enjoying one of the best facilitated local restaurants in & around Brisbane.

Family owned ,The Summit Restaurant is ideally located at 1/1012 Sir Samuel Griffith Dr, Mount Coot-tha Qld 4066.

On the day we went for lunch, the Mount Coot-tha Cafe was doing a roaring trade as was The Summit Restaurant, which has now been opened for about 8 weeks at the time of writing this Google Review.

There has been no expense spared when it comes to ensuring that everyone can relax & enjoy comfortable seating, an excellent bar where you can sit & have a pre dinner cocktail 🍸, wine 🍷 or beer 🍺

The one major highlight is the menu, which caters to everyone's favourite food, whether it be seafood, chicken, a quality steak, or pasta 😋

Everything that you need is locally produced in & around the southeast corner of Queensland.

The staff at The Summit Restaurant are well versed when it comes to ensuring that what you want to enjoy when ordering your food is taken into account 😋
If you want to enjoy the views, you can enjoy rooftop seating or outdoor seating.

Live music is another great addition to this outstanding establishment.

If you are looking at having a private function, The Summit Restaurant can cater for your special day, such as a wedding.

With the reopening of The Summit Restaurant, this is definitely a game changer when looking at something different to do when enjoying upscale dining.

From a voucher-redeeming visit in May 2025, where I honestly anticipated a second-class experience, this restaurant has utterly captivated me. What a delightful surprise! I've returned multiple times since, a true testament to its exceptional quality.

The breathtaking view is a spectacle in itself, whether under a brilliant sun or amidst a dramatic thunderstorm – I've experienced both, and it never fails to impress.

Across all my visits, the service has been consistently impeccable. From the moment of arrival, the team meticulously explains the menu, even thoughtfully advising that main dishes are generously portioned and perfect for sharing with a few delectable sides.

But the true culinary maestro is undoubtedly the chef. Every single mouthful, on every plate, during every visit, has been nothing short of flawless. The dishes are an explosion of unforgettable flavors, a symphony for the palate unlike anything I've ever encountered. I freaking adore this place!

The food was delicious and service was good.
We had booked for a window table but were taken to sit on the back while window tables were vacant entire time we were there.
Food is pricey but that is expected. Coffee and cocktails were just normal price and not expensive.
Parking is free and right below the restaurant.
I noticed acoustics here was better than most restaurants in Brisbane, it's nice to have a conversation without having to yell 😄

Fantastic food (I really loved the duck gnocchi!) and great service. No pics of this but the mocktail I ordered was also lovely. Plus the kids meals came with icecream, which was very well received. 10/10 would recommend.
