One night wasn't enough! Stepping through the arched old wooden doors into the foyer was like walking through the cupboard door into Narnia, invoking an immediate disconnect from the outside world. The next set of doors opened up into the main old church hall exposing cavernous ceilings, leadlight windows, historical timber features and beautifully appointed furnishings throughout. A huge king sized bed made from the old pews was revealed behind floor to ceiling curtains when stepping up into the pulpit area. The kitchen & bathroom spaces have been respectfully renovated and are fully functional with high end accessories throughout. We particularly enjoyed the subtle nods to the building's history and could almost hear the echos of hymns sung and the laughter of children in Sunday School. Too many features to mention. Our hosts were wonderful, in fact the entire experience was very special indeed. Most certainly the overall feeling of the space was that of a bygone era - to a time that was perhaps .. better.

The best of bygone days, meets high-end finishes and style. This isn’t just a place to stay… it’s something worth experiencing, even if you have no other reason to visit beautiful Tumbarumba. Oh, and did I mention that we got to keep the beautiful flowers? We’ll definitely be back.

What an amazing hidden gem in the Tumbarumba area…the host angela could not of been more accommodating to us wanting to enjoy some peace and quiet…from the thought out decor and amazing local food recommendations, We even got to bring home Angela’s amazing flowers awaiting us on our arrival… Cant wait to stay again…
Also super convenient having a charge station within walking distance…
