Great Divide Tours conducted 4WD training that caters for the advanced to the novice. Instructors know their stuff across the range of 2WD, AWD and 4WD vehicles and are infinitely patient as they explain the difference between the vehicle types and manufactures. Scott and Pat were hard to fault and a pleasure to deal with. Anne filled our bellies and we did not want for anything but extra time driving this well established 4WD centre. A must for any enthusiast regardless of experience. I’d highly recommend, even after years of teaching it myself, I still learnt a lot. Well done Vic Widman.

Professional team that delivered beginners 4wd course. Vic has a wealth of knowledge but be ready for the dad jokes. Learnt so much in this course. The team he was with Wayne, Jenny and Jeff were patient and had a comprehensive knowledge. The location and history of the place was fantastic. Safety comes first and Vic emphasised this. Now I know more of what my car is capable of. Be aware this hobby you need to be well reminded weather plays a big part and the team were sensible if we could drive it or not in the wet. Reminders of contingency if your plans don’t go ahead. Am sure to have a look at the tag a long tours.

It tested us and our car in a controlled and safe environment, guided by experienced and knowledgeable instructors. We learnt so much and smiled all weekend. Highly recommend this for any newby or experienced 4WDer.

The intro 2x day course is perfect for total beginners. I am a 'city slicker' (but grew up in the country as a kid) who was just dying to use my 4WD but didn't have the confidence, or to be honest the slightest idea of what I was doing. Our course leaders on the weekend were Jeff and Peter, and we couldn't have had more fun, felt safe as we progressed our skills, or learnt any more/better in the space of time we had.

Each skill leads you to the next. highly recommended!

I did my first ever 4X4 driver trainer course with Great Divide Tours and found them to be highly professional, competent and confident in sharing their skills and wisdom to us novices.
The facuilities, obstacles and courses are well thought out and put together. My confidence in my car and in my capability have improved dramatically.
And I went on my first beach driving tour last week and found the new guides were of the same calibre, which made for a great experience on the sand dunes of Stockton Beach.

Seriously folks, if you are going to go 4x4 driving you should do a course to understand your cars and your capabilities. Vic and his team at the Great Divide Training facility provide brilliant training aimed at the novice enthusiast. Three words to describe his trainer's PROFESSIONAL, CHEERFUL and INVALUABLE. I'm sure you will see comments in other reviews about Vic's jokes - sadly it's all true😁. Notwithstanding, my wife and I gained so much from the weekend course. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I had non stop fun from start to finish. The guys are great, a real mix of ages and experiences and combined they present a vast range of knowledge of scenarios and vehicles capabilities. This is all interspersed with endless banter and laughs. I thought it would be good, but all about serious learning. But it was also funny from the get go. A crew of unpretentious, fun loving experts. We tackled challenges that at first appeared daunting but with their support and encouragement everything was achieved easily. It was an invaluable confidence building program in regards to driving my car off road and in challenging situations. Can't wait to participate in some of the tag along tours. And it's a beautiful property to spend the weekend at!

These people are great for 4WD training including recovery techniques. It is a purpose built area allowing both beginner and advanced training.

They also run a wide range of tagalong tours from one day to a few weeks. They are well run on the ground and in the "back office". By the end of this year, covid permitting, we will have dinner more than 10! We're lucky but it is also a testament to our confidence in them.
