Detoured to Braidwood purposely to come try them! Staff were friendly and helpful, offering their menu list with dietaries. Their simple vegetable pie tastes like a no frills minestrone soup wrapped in pastry. Ordered the apple strudel for takeaway…tastes as delicious as it looks, reheated

Very popular stop in Braidwood for coffee and fast food - pies etc. service was super fast and friendly. Food and coffee all good. Sad they can’t use old ceramic for coffee and automatically putting plastic tops on coffee is ok if you are not worried about plastic proliferation. A slick run business…

Fresh, tasty pies. Particularly liked the steak, bacon and cheese. And then there’s the cakes. The butterfly cup cakes are huge and the vanilla slices are yum. Friendly service too!

Wow wow wow
What an amazing experience!
We took two different pies, steak Curry and chunky pepper steak. They were delicious, fresh, and we enjoyed them A LOT. Be careful when you eat them, they're very hot, burn my tongue haha
For a dessert we took the custard tart which was tasty and very well done. Recommended.

Coffee was great there are multiple options of milk, including soy, coconuts, almond, oatmeal and more.

I give only four stars for the atmosphere, cuz it's pretty loud, crowded and not very comfortable to sit there.

The Braidwood Bakery offers a typical small-town experience, but for avid pie enthusiasts, the traditional beef mince pie may leave you wanting more. As a self-proclaimed pie connoisseur, I always judge a bakery by its mince pies, and in this case, their offering was average at best.

A few quirks in the presentation stood out. The pie was delivered in a paper bag, without the usual tin foil tray—a surprising detail that detracts from the convenience and practicality of the experience. Adding to the peculiarity was the inclusion of sauce, unrequested, tucked into the bag. For those who believe a good pie should stand strong without condiments, this choice raised eyebrows. Regrettably, the sauce did play a role in salvaging the flavor, as the grungy mince filling lacked the depth and richness one would hope for. The pastry, on the other hand, was decent and provided some redemption.

Service at the bakery was unremarkable—neither poor nor exceptional—and does not warrant a particular mention. Overall, the Braidwood Bakery’s beef mince pie was far from memorable. While it wasn’t a terrible experience, it also didn’t inspire the enthusiasm that keeps pie lovers coming back for more. Here’s hoping their other offerings fare better!

I went there on Saturday and was served by Kayleen who was so friendly and helpful. I enjoyed chatting with her and she helped with selecting a delicious berry tart, I ordered coffee and two raspberry muffins. The coffee was beautiful, and the muffins and berry tart and delicious, my friends loved them. I will definitely be returning.
