Probably one of the 'must do' hikes on most peoples visit to the Bungle Bungles. The trail head starts at Picaninny day use area, moderately easy with some climbing over rocks. Hand rails and ladders have been installed. Cathedral Gorge actual is magnificent, overhanging cliff rocks, small beach, narrow glimpse of the sky. We visited early in the morning. My advice is to visit as early as possible to take advantage of the morning light, cooler conditions and less crowds. This gorge is very busy, later in the morning the carpark does fill up. For the more energetic, there is a smaller womens gorge just off the Cathedral Gorge track.

Go to church. Moderately easy walk to the Cathedral. Think it’s one of the better walks to do along with Echidna Chasm. Looks great in the shots! Pictures speak for themselves really.

Located in Purnululu Nat. Park (Bungle Bungles WA) Cathedral Gorge is a stunning natural amphitheatre. Walk in surrounded by the renowned bee-hive domes before arriving at Cathederal Gorge, Cross to the far side and sing loudly if you can. You may never sound so good again

Moderate walk to get to the Gorge with great scenery and a swim. The drive from the main road was a slow and bumpy ride.

So worth the walk and make the crazy drive in much more worth it. Beautiful striped rock formations and white sand dry creek beds. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for a good 15 minutes so there was a Disney song concert, obviously. 😝 It truly incredible and so much fun. Highly recommend this & Echidna Chasm.

Great spot, roughest roads I've driven on for a long time, drop your speed to 30 or 40kmph and let some air out of your tyres, maybe drop to 25psi or as low as 20 to save your shock absorbers some work.

Now this is so worth the walk! This is such an amazing setting which is mystical and so unique. It is an easy walk in with one area which has a few steps and it is also a sandy walk in. This was our favourite area.
