My partner and I recently visited the Japanese Mountain Retreat and loved every second of it! The location was stunning, tucked away in the mountains, it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we felt a sense of calm. 

We bathed in the Japanese themed spring and it was beautiful. We spent ages just soaking drinking champagne and taking in all the surrounding sounds. The gardens were so serene, and were filled with so many thoughtful details.

After our soak (feeling like two floating clouds) we made our way into the restaurant with its beautifully dimmed lighting and intimate setting. Our dinner was delicious, the food was presented beautifully and our waitress was super friendly kept checking in throughout the night.

The visit was the perfect reset we needed. A genuine soul nourishing experience. Can’t wait to go back, we really want to experience the Roman Bathhouse next! If you are in need of a little unwind and recharge, I think you’ll love the experience these guys provide.

At this exquisite location, my partner and I indulged in a Japanese retreat experience that was nothing short of remarkable. The two-hour bathing and massage sessions at the spa were truly exceptional. The decor and service provided by the spa staff were nothing less than extraordinary. Debra, who guided us throughout our experience, was an absolute treasure; her attentiveness to our needs was matched only by her calming presence. The rooms were impeccably clean and tidy, and we thoroughly enjoyed our late-night soaks in the hot tub on our private deck, surrounded by nature. The culinary offerings were delectable, complemented by stunning views of the landscape. Overall, we are eager to return for another rejuvenating retreat!

My partner and I spent our anniversary at this stunning Japanese mountain retreat and it truly exceeded all expectations. We booked for Bath and Dine experience which included 50 minutes private pool experience and a delicious Japanese-inspired dinner.

I highly recommended for anyone needing a peaceful escape or celebrating something special. Thank you Lee and Carol for such a memorable stay. We will definitely can’t wait to come back and try another pool theme next time.

We stayed in the Balinese Retreat for two nights. All staff were welcoming, friendly and made our experience so relaxing and magical. The Roman Bathhouse, massage and rock pool bathing were so relaxing and rejuvenating. Massage was the best we have ever had. The food was 5 stars and so delicious. Full compliments to the chef and restaurant workers.
The owner of the resort was so friendly and has a beautiful soul. She took the time to check in, chat and went above and beyond to make our stay magical.
100% recommend and will be returning soon.

Phenomenal! The day spa is incredible. The ambience, from pulling into the driveway, to the waiting area and treatment room exudes calmness and zen. From being greeted on arrival, until walking out the door, the staff have a kindness and calming presence. I felt welcomed and valued from the minute I arrived.
The massage was without doubt the best I’ve experienced, pure bliss, total relaxation. The post massage tea and Turkish delight, just lovely.
I had a slight hiccup on a previous visit, and they were incredibly proactive in helping me with it. They value their customers. Faultless!

My Fiancée and i received a wonderful engagement present with an overnight stay at this remarkable resort from our best friends. Spoilt with massages and a hot tub in our dwelling. Special shout out to the restaurant staff on an exceptional service and food was a 20 out of 10 as well as front of house staff 5 stars on the hospitality. A hidden gem here in Melbourne for much needed get away and quiet time 👍👍highly recommend!!

This was my second time visiting the retreat and I always leave feeling so refreshed and appreciative. The attention to detail of the rooms, property and spas is unmatched! The staff both times have been so helpful and understanding. You truly feel like you’re escaping to a far off place abroad with everything from the music, the scents and the trees.

I would highly reccomend if you’re looking for a unique, private experience not far outside of Melbourne!

The staff was incredibly friendly, and I had an excellent massage along with a body hammam ritual. Afterward, I enjoyed a lovely mint tea with sweets. The music during my treatment was deeply relaxing, and my therapist was both attentive and highly experienced. The spa has a truly authentic atmosphere, making the experience even more special. I also had the bento box lunch, which included one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. I’m extremely happy with my visit and would highly recommend it to everyone!
