Love the atmosphere of Prospect Hotel and Cellars. You can eat in the dining room or in the bottle shop (a quieter option). No table service - you order at the bar. Food was excellent - generous serves. Friendly and efficient staff. No wait for food.

We had a lovely dinner last. Make sure you have a reservation because it was packed! Friendly service with ordering of food and drinks at the bar. We enjoyed all of our dishes and the steak was cooked perfectly. We’d come back

Nice venue, customer service was really nice, everyone was very attentive and friendly at our table.
I ordered the chicken schnitzel but unfortunately I didn't like it; I also ordered the mushroom sauce which you have to pay extra for but it didn't taste like mushrooms either.
We came to have lunch with a couple of kids and on the kids menu food like pasta, burgers were not an option, I don't believe this place is very kids friendly in that sense.
Parking close to the venue is easy, great atmosphere but only for adults from my point of view.

Visiting Prospect Hotel and Cellars on a a public Holiday Eve. The place was buzzing with atmosphere and packed.

We really enjoyed the outdoor seating and had a nice drink and bite while we took in the atmosphere.

The only negative comment I'll make is that the acoustics inside was level 12/10. It was too loud to have a conversation and wouldn't be suitable for a person with sensitivity to loud sounds.

A new local restaurant and boutique cellar, offering quite the place to wine and dine!
Finally a vibrant pub open along Prospect Rd, it also has a main bar, booth dining space, alfresco seatings out front and a cellar out back.
The function area can be booked for the special occasions or corporate events.

The menu curated by Head Chef Justin Penman offers pub classics with elevated touches to the dishes, definitely something more sophisticated but hearty dishes.
There’s a kids menu as well so no one is left out here.

Great hospitality, great staff and service.

Tastings and events are to come, looking forward to trying some of their exceptional wines and spirits.

The restrooms are unisex and spacious for accessibility.
Ample parking at rear parking lot or nearby street parking.

Ambience: Atmosphere and music is good. Everything is clean. Decor is so nice but the table and chairs in the outdoor seating area don’t suit the style of the pub. They remind me of fast food restaurants. The bathrooms are shared. I wish they had a full length mirror, could easily fit one on the wall.

Service: Staff were attentive and friendly and bid us a good night as we were leaving. Food took a while to come out but it was pretty busy so that is understandable. If the venue was completely full, I think the kitchen would struggle a lot.

Food: We ordered the chicken schnitzel, salt and pepper squid, fish and chips and grain salad with chicken. The food was really tasty and fresh. The chicken schnitzel was huge so very good value. The chicken was nice and tender. The salt and pepper squid was a bit disappointing because there was a small portion of squid. The fish and chips were great. The fish was fresh and fried to perfection. The grain salad was my favourite, it was delicious and filling.

Price: Everything on the menu is less than $30 (except for the $64 wagyu scotch fillet), which is cheaper than all the other restaurants in Prospect.

If you’re looking for a good time and value for money, you’re better off coming here instead of Anchovy Bandit. At Anchovy Bandit, they make pizzas with barely any toppings and pasta with barely any sauce or protein. They also had a slice of uncooked pumpkin for $30 last time I went.

Visiting from Melbourne, we came here with some friends who recommended the Prospect Hotel. The food was excellent and great vibe in the two rooms.
