All staff was professional, helpful and nothing was too hard. Owner spoke Japanese, Hungarian, English and Italian to the customers while we were there. Fantastic experience! We can highly recommend Cairns Tour Advice to everyone visiting the region.

So we went to them the first morning of our trip and we felt welcomed. I did ask the consultant’s name but I have already forgotten it, do apologise to the team. Appeared tall, slim with glasses (male). So glad that we met him when we did, he sorted all our plans, gave a lot of suggestions and even suggested where we could save money. Booked an amazing reef tour, tubing and the Kuranda train and Skyrail trip from here. And also got very helpful tips and advise and what else we could do, do and don’ts. Thank you for saving us a lot of time which we would have wasted trying to organise our stay in Cairns. On top of all, I do appreciate his patience for all the time we took to discuss everything in depth amongst my husband and myself. Kudos to the consultant.

I give this agency 3*'s only for the fact there was no acknowledgement of email communications or follow through.

The staff are pleasant enough but with all the competition in this area, it felt as if they expected the business to just come to them.

I was ready to make a couple of bookings. On one, if I hadn't gone back to the agency itself they wouldn't have received my booking.

The other I just booked through another agency which had great follow through, even though the price was slightly higher.

Called into this office to enquire about Kuranda tours - the oldish guy was eating (this was about 10.30am) and continued eating whilst talking to us!!! he was very off hand and rude - just pointing in a general direction of some brochures. He was extremely unprofessional - won’t be going back 👎🏻

I can only assume that the rest of the reviewers had the good fortune to speak to someone more helpful than I did. I found the gentleman I spoke to to be dismissive and rude. He seemed unwilling to go into any detail on any of the Kuranda tours and only gave a very brief summary of the cheapest tour They offered after presumably making the assumption that that was all I could afford. Book with someone else.

I attempted to book a day trip to Kuranda through this agency on the Esplanade with my partner. Travelling from Victoria we were not familiar with the town and queried what options we had regarding the SkyRail, the train and transfers.

The experience we had was a negative one for the following reasons:

* We were not informed there was transfer options available which applied extra unnecessary costs to our journey

* Our details were misinterpreted meaning when we got to the Smithfield Terminal, our booking did not reflect our names.

* We were not informed that we needed to approach the operator at the terminal and that we were required to swap tickets over.

* The agent informed us immediately after EFT payment that “we don’t do refunds”

After experiencing these problems we requested to speak to the manager, Trent. During verbalising issues with him during a 30 minute phone conversation, he did not recognise the experience we had due to a fault/misadvice from the travel consultant. We repeated the same information in excess of three times.

Trent did not acknowledge our experience and used deflection tactics such as changing the subject and speaking over us. He then promised to call us back moments later (which he did not) and got the original consultant to try and call us which we found very unprofessional.

We firmly suggest that you AVOID this business based on our experience with them. Go direct through the operator and save yourself the hassle of dealing with them. They don’t care about your holiday just your credit card.
