I had the pleasure of dining at Hook & Sail Catering located at the Cairns Cruising Yacht Club, and I must say, it was nothing short of exceptional. The first thing you'll notice upon arrival is the breathtaking location. Situated right on the water, the view sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The gentle breeze adds a soothing touch to the ambience, creating the perfect backdrop for a leisurely lunch.

From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me with warm smiles and lively conversation. Their cheerful demeanour immediately made me feel welcome and set the tone for a delightful meal. It's evident that customer satisfaction is a top priority here, and the staff go above and beyond to make your dining experience memorable.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show: The Big, Bad, Beef Burger. It was, in a word, amazing. The patty was a flavour explosion, clearly crafted with high-quality ingredients and seasoned to perfection. The toppings complemented the patty exceptionally well, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavours. The bun was soft, fresh, and served as the perfect vessel to hold everything together. The burger was so delectable that I found myself finishing it within mere minutes!

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines excellent food, a spectacular location, and top-notch service, Hook & Sail Catering at the Cairns Cruising Yacht Club is the place to be. We had a birthday party catered by Cath on Saturday night and I seriously cannot rate the whole experience highly enough. The food was excellent and we didn't have one person say a negative thing about any of the dishes. Cath went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy, there was enough food and everything was organised prior to the day. The staff were just as professional and onto everything. The atmosphere of having the event at the Cruising Yacht Squadron was perfect - plenty of space and a very relaxed atmosphere. Cath also does catering off site so if you're thinking or looking at a party or event seriously have a chat to her. Thank you so much Cath and team!

Recently hosted my partners 30th at CCYS and the whole experience dealing with Hook and Sail was a breeze. From phone calls to emails and organizing, I felt supported and listened to. Cath helped me to choose exactly what I may need for my guests and group size.
Not only was the pre-party organization helpful but the food was amazing. Everyone raved about how tasty the platters were as well as how nice they looked!— I unfortunately didn’t get photos before the boys ‘hooked in’ but the mackerel sliders didn’t even last 10 minutes!
2 weeks later and people are still talking about that food! Already joking about what kind of parties we could plan next! Thanks heaps, Cath and the team!!

Lovely clubhouse facilities overlooking the inlet and boats passing by. Service is great and the beers icy cold. Great food options from snacks to full meals, servings are generous. Love the Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron 👍👌

Got to finally taste the magic that is hook and sail at the parrot head party; the flavours melted in my mouth and I was able to wash it all down with free flowing frozen margaritas. The staff are a joy and are so accommodating - even running on a limited menu they were able to provide gluten free alternatives.

50/10 will be back!

Being under a time constraint for lunch we made a point of asking how long our order may take and were told 10 minutes. 40 minutes later our order hasn’t even started to be prepared. Refund done, no appliance no lunch for us.
