These people have not followed the terms and conditions that are set out in writing in the confirmation email. They charged the full amount immediately and when we had to cancel, they refused to honour the fee and return the remainder of the money they had already taken. The terms were they take the first night's fee and charge the remainder on arrival. They charge you $319 if you cancel. It's all in writing and they are refusing to return the money, so Booking.com is managing the complaint and we are going to Fair Trade. This doesn't even touch on the greed. They fully rebooked our stay yet they think they are keeping the full amount. @Booking.com said they will be formalising a complaint and ensuring a refund.

We've just confirmed they are in breach of the Agreement and must fully refund us, yet they are still refusing. We would have paid the cancellation fee, but they thought they could have the $319 fee plus the full accommodation fee. Just wow! Thankfully booking.com is legitimate. Tuckers Retreat clearly needs help to understand their own terms and conditions. What's occurred is a #FraudulentTransaction and they are not aware what that means for them just yet.

My partner booked for 3 nights for a surprise birthday present. We both found our stay quite less than we expected for the price. Room was very outdated with size of the TV, Bed was uncomfortable and sunk in the middle, attention to detail and presentation of the outdoor furniture, Spa was dirty with sand on the bottom also dirt and grime with the jets not working properly and lights not turning on. Heater was too small for the area of the room and power turned off randomly and left us freezing. Zippers were broken and hard to operate, 1 roll of toilet paper, Hand wash dispenser was faulty, Dog barking all night, Bed side tables were unstable and too small, Torch that was supplied was tiny and was something for a child to use.

This place is in need of major maintenance and updating. ☹️

Whilst we enjoyed our stay there were a few points that could be improved on for the price paid. Spa was very outdated and not every function worked, was cloudy and dirt was visible when the bubbles were activated. Internet was dismal, no dvd player as advertised.

The nicest part was that no one was in the tent next to us, no real privacy as advertised.
Won’t be returning at the pricing does not reflect what you expect as far as a romantic, private retreat.

After hearing about this place from my wife we decided to book for two nights for our 1st wedding anniversary. The place is beautiful and everything one would need. The spa and the glamping tent is beautiful and the owners seem to have a great idea about what people would enjoy.

My husband and I stayed recently for our 5 year wedding anniversary. The property is beautiful, we had kangaroos grazing out the front of our tent and the dragonfruit orchard is cute. The property is located a short drive from Canungra so it’s easy to stock up on supplies or pop to the pub. There are two glamping tents located quite close to each other so it wouldn’t have been very private if another couple had booked the other one but luckily for us we were the only ones there.

Cons: the bed dipped in the middle so that I rolled into the centre. I’m not a big person and can usually sleep anywhere but it was so uncomfortable. The mattress either needs to be rotated or replaced. Also there was no gas left in either of the gas bottles in the communal kitchen area so we were unable to cook the food we had brought. We tried to call and sms the owner but there was no response so ended up going into town to eat. It was very disappointing to waste fresh food and not be able to use the amenities. Finally, there was a group camping in the forest down the neighbouring driveway so there were cars driving up and down over the weekend and the group were noisy at night. We understand they were running some type of workshop down there but it would have been good to know in advance.

Went here for anniversary. it was perfect weekend even in a moonboot!!!

Very clean. Gorgeous view, spa is HOT, clean and BIG. We had gorgeous old brown dog (I think it was from other neighbours) come visit at bbq area, which just made our holiday even better. No animals come near tent due to thing they got plugged in to deter. Close to little town for food/coffee. In our tent was a jar of dragon fruit jam 😋 I would of bought some if I could!

Moonboot meant couldn't explore much. But tent and spa were perfect. Other positives: big soft bed (with heated sheets, fan in room, no air-conditioning but not issue at night and daytime you go outside) kitchen basic but got what you need, Bbq was bit fancy! We sat by firepit for dinner and star gazed.
All instructions/ info/ communication was direct and clear.
Lots of little helpful things (magnetic torch etc) in tent. Beautiful nature noise dusk and dawn in particular.

OK negatives: There are white curtains on balcony but does not give full coverage... Sometimes would of liked full privacy on balcony. However, never saw anyone from balcony.
Can hear local neighbours just a little sometimes ,not other tent to be clear! Like the brown dog, I actually liked it, and made holiday better for us :). Does get hot during day in tent but nice on balcony. temperture perfect at night to cuddle in tent:)

I do recommend tuckers retreat. Happy with money paid, feel we got good value. Would go back 😀

Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience during our visit. We wouldn’t have this most relaxing experience had it not been for your consideration and generosity.

We absolutely loved the entire stay. The atmosphere was pleasant and the scents of fresh air and beautiful setup. Such a relaxing and different experience and l definitely would like to come back for getaway from work.

Loved BBQ facility, spa, bonfire, well looked after venue, sound of birds and view from the tent in the morning.

If you want something different but still after comfortable setup, I highly recommend Tuckers Retreat.

We loved our stay here, so peaceful and quiet. The spa was perfect and was well used by us. We had a fire at night time and looked at the stars. The bed was comfy and loved the electric blankets.|A great place to relax and switch off. We took all our own food and kitchen was well supplied. Thanks
