The hot air balloon experience at the Gold Coast is undoubtedly one of the activities worth trying. In the early morning, as you ascend through the mist and into the first rays of sunlight, you’ll enjoy breathtaking and layered views: rolling green fields, winding rivers, and the golden coastline in the distance. The flight is remarkably smooth, making it easy even for first-time flyers to relax and enjoy.

Highlights:

Best picnic destination on the coast. The picnic baskets are so good and have ample food. So relaxing sitting by the creek watching the animals and the kids playing and looking for sea life. The live music was awesome too as was the new food area with lot more choices. The star is the wine and the wine paddle is great for the price to sample a few wines. Thank you for a great relaxing afternoon.

From our very first interaction with Tamil, Joseph, and the incredible team at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, we knew we were in the best hands. Every step of the planning process felt easy, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable. No question was too small, no request too big — the team approached everything with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.

The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking — nestled in the heart of nature with a peaceful, romantic atmosphere that instantly put us and our guests at ease. But it’s not just a stunning backdrop — it’s the full package. The food was absolutely delicious, the wines were exceptional, and everything was delivered with such attention to detail and heart. You can truly feel how passionate the team is about what they do, and it shines through in every moment.

We've been flooded with compliments from our guests about how relaxed, beautiful, and seamless the entire day felt — and that is 100% thanks to the amazing team at Canungra Valley Vineyards. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. We are beyond grateful for the love and care that went into making it so unforgettable.

This is a beautiful vineyard nestled at the base of the mountain in a picturesque setting. It caters for functions and weddings with a bar and restaurant on-site. There is also some nostalgic influence with the history of the OReilleys on display I the main building. On the same property there is the Mount view Alpaca Farm. All this packaged up for all to enjoy in an amazing setting alongside a fast flowing creek and manicured lawns gardens with lots of picnic tables and vines and let's not forget the cellar door! To top it off you do t even have to bring your own picnic goodies you can order yours from the bar and enjoy the surrounds while you wait. A terrific place for families and events and everything in between.

As part of our Southern Cross Tours to the rainforest, we visited this cafe. If it weren’t for this trip, my family and I wouldn’t have come across this place due to its location. We were given one hour to explore before meeting back at the bus.

Walking in, we saw wine on display for sale. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The seating was quite basic, with very basic simple tables and chairs. The tables were empty with no cutlery or napkins but I didn’t mind too much.

Antipasto: I loved everything on it. The presentation was very good. And the cheeses, sauces and crackers wore at a good standard. Scones: Came with jam and cream, and they were of good quality. Kids Combo: My sister got a sandwich roll with some kind of meat, and she really enjoyed it. Coffee: My dad got a coffee but didn’t like it at all. Icy Pole: Came with the kids’ meal, and my sister seemed to like it.

When we arrived, only two other customers were there, and there were more staff than customers. It was a peaceful setting with no music, which suited the beautiful view. Later on, more people started to fill some of the seats.

The staff were well-dressed and had lots of energy. We asked for napkins, and the request was handled well.

The cafe mainly used cardboard boxes instead of plates, which is smart for recycling.
The place wasn’t very tidy, felt a bit messy.

The total bill was $70, which seemed fairly not too expensive. Overall, the experience was good, thanks to the friendly staff and great views, but the cleanliness and coffee could have been better.

Would I recommend it? Yes, if you want a peaceful day out. If you enjoy picnics, I think you would like this place. Could be a cool day out if you live far away potentially.

We had a hot air balloon ride which included a breakfast and wine tasting at O'Reilly's vineyard. The location is so beautiful, and the wine is really nice! We ended up buying some moscato and port wine. Staff were friendly as well.🍷😊

We also got to feed the alpacas at the farm there too, which was cute!

We had a 60th birthday long table lunch under a beautiful tree with the creek flowing in front of us. The staff surprised us with the table being set which was lovely. It was such a special day & made even more perfect wth the staff being amazing

A group of my family and friends gathered for a lunch time celebration. It was very relaxing in a beautiful shady spot by the creek and the staff were exceptional in the service they provided. Beforehand Joseph was very helpful in the planning and the staff on the day (Tamil, Ruby and Keeley) were friendly and attentive.
The food and drinks were of a very high standard and it was the perfect venue for adults and children alike to enjoy themselves.
