Came here for mother’s day and it exceeded our expectations, the place was very nicely decked out, and really suitable for big groups.
The food was good - steak was meaty but tender, spring rolls were delicious and ppenty of sides and salads.

It’s the 2 nd time I came with my boyfriend. Didn’t bother to review this place as I reckoned the bistro is overpriced for theirs food. 2nd visit for the special dish on weekdays. It tastes nice including well seasoned cos salad and juicy chicken breast. Atmosphere and interior are nice. Hope they put more special dishes.

Seems like there are varying reviews because there are different areas to the hotel. This is a review for level 1. Good environment, lively but not too loud. Service was reasonably good. I don't like schnitzels but it was on special for $18 and i loved it. Good crust and reasonably juicy chicken breast. Garlic aioli sauce is quite garlicy but i liked it. Mushroom sauce also good. Chips were seasoned well but a bit floppy. Nice pleasant dressing on salad not too strong. Will definitely come back but probably only for specials.

rooftop vibes easily make the whole experience a 10/10, the food and drinks here at the @the.governor.hotel were immaculate, i need more of those build-a-baos immediately !! 🤤🥢

and excuse me, but edamame chips? these were so unique and actually the most delicious things ever! i smashed so many and wanted more 🫛

Nice place for a team outing. Massive seating areas will accomodate your group. The sports bar with TV’s let you enjoy the dining experience.

Good pub food with a nice modern fun atmosphere. It's nice that the different levels of the place have different vibes from pub vibe, to gaming to rustic outdoor dining. I was happy with the quality of food and will easily come back. Only critique is that the fish burger would be nicer if there was one large fillet instead of 2.

Looking for a quick cheap meal away from our apartment we didn't expect much here, but the quality and variety of the food was excellent.
In addition to the standards such as schnitzel and burgers there's excellent bowls, grilled meat and fish and pasta. And some wonderful sides
Prices were superb - you can get a drink and main here for less than $35 in the main bistro, or head for the rooftop bar for pizza and skewers.
Service was fast and professional and the food came out fast.
A great choice if your staying at the Quest Macquarie Park or nearby hotels.
