It is with pleasure I am leaving this review to the awesome team of Best Next Property Management and its leaders. I have been a tenant/client of the agency for more than a year and without hesitation I am confident to say it is the best agent I've met. I've previously worked with three agencies long-term and the BNPM meets my needs well beyond the expectations. A few things to mention is that we got a nice "welcome" present upon moving in (a candle and few other handy items); we receive weekly receipts for the payments; BNPM sent us magnets with essential emergency contacts etc. Best agent in the Hawkesbury in my view. And I know they look after the owners extremely well as well. Five star from me.

This has to be one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with.

We applied for a rental property and the managing agent was Alanah.

The application was myself, my son and his partner.

Our combined income and asset position would have put ranked any other applications.

We were told we would receive a answer in a couple of days, well we did and advised it was not successful.

I called and asked reason why, it appears our application was not ever properly vetted.

Claiming that pay slips were not attached when they were.

They also wanted personal preferences from our employers, this is highly unprofessional.

Alanah then stated salary slips are not proof of employment. I have been with the same employer for over 30 years, am highly paid but Alanah claims this is not sufficient. What garbage.

Alanah also claimed I had no rental history, how can I have rental history when I have owned my own home for past 30 years.

Alanah advised I should get a valuation and submit report. How ridiculous, asking me to pay over $200 for a valuation report and I may not even get the property.

Then Alanah goes on you can take photos.

During the whole process it was unprofessional and our applications were not even properly vetted.

After the discussion Alanah put as supposedly back on the list but I had my double as it was evident through SMS as Alannah never answers her mobile nor returns calls when messages are left, that it appeared there was already a preferred candidate.

We were told we would have a response by end of week which was Friday but we get a email 10pm Sunday night saying we were unsuccessful.

I sent Alanah a SMS, she came back with a half answered response that the property went to someone who has previously rented a property. So not on the strength on our combined income nor our job security nor our asset position. As stated I guarantee no other applications would have had our income nor asset position.

I advise Alanah I will be lodging complaints and would require a detailed email as to why we did not get the property.

As of Sunday night I advised Alanah to ensure all her paperwork was in order to be prepared for the complaints that are about to come through.

I also advised that I have lodged a complaint on Sunday night with the real estate institute of NSW and informed Alanah of this.

I also advised many complaints about her and her company were coming their way.

Alanah then claims these are threats and to stop sending SMS.

My original SMS asked to be contacted the next day, but Alanah decided to respond at 10.30 PM. So I replied back.

Then Alanah claims my SMS are aggressive and threatening.

WOW, when is telling someone you are going to lodge a complaint threatening.

It appears Alanah has been caught out and using the word threatening and not to SmS her again as a form to try and silence me

Well copes of all these SMS and the false claim of threats when I advised I have lodged complaints os all going to real estate institute for unfair conduct in the way this application was handled.

The unsuccessful email should have come on a weekday in working hours not 10pm on a Sunday night

My time in this whole process was wasted, time frames advisedd on application was not kept and phone calls and SMS messages requesting updates were just ignored by Alanah.

This has to be one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever dealt with.

As stated complaints will be lodged and Alannah that's not a threat, that's a reflection of your poor customer service, my poor experience of dealing with you and the complaint is a reflection of the overall experience.

You actually threatened me by using the word threat. I admit my SMS was blunt, bit advising. I'm.lodging a complaint about you and your company.

Going by Alisons response I now know I was discriminated with my application. It was completed in full so blatant fabrication of the truth and only 5 SMS messages sent. I now know I made the right decision to lodge complaint with Fair trading last night
