My sister and I stayed in Holbrook overnight and went to Return Services Club for dinner
It was wonderful ,staff were friendly ,meal was lovely

Celebrated my husbands 60th birthday party last week at the club. What a great day it was. The club catered for around 30 people. A huge thanks to the manager Chris who helped me organise the party. A massive thank you to the friendly bar service. Not to mention the lovely ladies in the kitchen who organised and prepared the food in a timely and friendly manner. Thank you all. Highly recommend this little neat club for your next function 👌

We had dinner here while staying in town. The chicken schnitzel was delicious and came in small or large. It was cooked very well, not overdone like many other places we’ve been.

Good prices specials of the day, but we felt a bit disappointing. Parmy wasn’t hot. Looked like chicken was prepared while ago.
There was a Burger deal advertised on the website, but not available in the venue.

Great place and friendly service. Air-conditioning was wonderful after being 38 degrees. Meals were lovely and quite generous. Beer was cold and wine even better. Had the chicken parma and the fish special (crispy skin salmon with vegetables)

As a former member and now a interstate visitor don’t believe the management’s false advertising claim about friendly bar staff at this establishment
The Clayton’s manager is only available from 10:00 hrs to 14:30 hrs if you phone outside these hrs he is not on site or unavailable to speak with a mere mortal or hangs up on you It’s no wonder the members have named him the phantom
On Friday I played bowls at this establishment for 3 hours using members card to buy each others drinks which was acceptable the bartender even used a card from the till if bowler’s or member’s forgot their cards
So you can imagine my reaction and surprise when I was refused by the bartender to purchase the drink at the same price that I had paid previously
This practice of using members cards is very
common in most clubs that I have been involved with
But I believe I was being victimised’ harassed and singled out by this staff member
I suggest if you want a pleasant experience find somewhere else to eat and drink I have noticed other locals have recently reviewed with the same experience
It is very sad because this club was once very well managed but not now
I see Ana Watson had the same experience as me at this establishment just goes to show a leopard never changes its spots and a manager who is bad is always bad

Food took forever to arrive and was literally the worst meal I’ve ever had. I went a few years back and the food was actually pretty good for an RSL but unfortunately this was not the case this time.
