This is a great spot! A perfect place for my dog and me to stay on our way from Melbourne to visit family.
The rooms are older style but spotlessly clean and very warm.
Jason is an excellent host; having the Chinese restaurant on site is what welcome bonus.
Make sure you book in school holidays, especially if you have a furry friend with you.

Probably the friendliest most informative welcome I've ever had at any motel or hotel in all of my 75 years. Jason made us feel welcome and part of a family. Pet friendly motel with a fully fenced dog run at our door. A real must for pet owners travelling through Holbrook. And, an on site Chinese restaurant. 10 out of 10.

We were looking for pet-friendly accommodation between Wagga Wagga and Albury and are so pleased we found The Jolly Swagman. The rooms were clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the blinds provided complete privacy and the shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. A big bonus, having our dog with us, were the two fully fenced dog runs where our girl could sniff and mark 'her' territory to her heart's content. After our long drive, we took advantage of ordering take-away at the in-house chinese restaurant and can say it was absolutely delicious. We were there on the first Tuesday of the Easter holidays and they were busy, so get your order in early. However, the best part of our stay was meeting Jason, the manager. What a geat guy! He was so friendly and welcoming, offering to help with our bags, sharing information about the local area and providing a top class experience. We most definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we are in the area.

So many positives about this place. Let’s start with Jason, on arrival I felt totally at home with my animals. It’s nice to be made welcome with fur babies.
The room was beautiful and spotless. Jason showed me how everything worked, menus for local restaurants and everything we needed was in the room.
I would highly recommend staying here.

What if I will not be able to drive for 10 hr from Melbourne to Sydney? Or while returning ?
Don't worry this is a nice place to stop and relax overnight. Gas station and eatery are just 5 min away.
No hassle at all. Booked over call and get everything what I needed right there for my comfort.
Stayed there twice with my family and got consistent experience.
Thanks for making our family trip easier.

Friendly and comfortable stay. We were greeted with a smile, check in was easy and then the host walked us to our room. He then showed us the room and various food options in town. The beds were comfy, bathroom was spotless and we slept well. Would stay here again!
