Nice getaway very quiet. Lovely cottage and only 4 cottages on the premises so was great as it was just quiet. Not a lot to do in the area so if you are looking for a weekend to really just unwind and be away from the hustle and bussle, read a book have a BBQ this is the place. Listening to the water from the deck was lovely it was just a shame the creek is overrun with tree roots and weeds as it would have been lovely to get down there and fish which is what we had hoped to do but was impossible

Lovely spot as a base for walking in Barrington Tops. Only a few minutes from Gloucester for cafes, groceries, etc. The cabins had everything we needed and the view over the river from the deck was perfect. Excellent proactive communication from Sue. We would recommend Barrington Hideaway to our friends and will happily return there.

Lovely country cottages situated by the river in a quiet part of a rural property. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The cottage we stayed in was clean, comfortable and had a full kitchen and clean BBQ available. There were two local bottles of wine available to purchase on the kitchen bench along with some fresh honey and a fully stocked pod coffee machine. There was strong WiFi and a great camp-fire available too 🔥. The property was only a few minutes from Gloucester's main street and close to great bush walks and attractions.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Avon cottage. Sue and Paul were such welcoming hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Sitting on the deck, overlooking the river with a glass of wine was the perfect school holiday getaway for our group of teachers. With beautiful greenery around all the cabins too, it was easy to forget that there was even anyone else nearby. ||The cabins are a short drive from town, making it easy to pop in for a look around the lovely township of Gloucester. ||We cannot wait to come back again!

We had a wonderful 2 nights here with our two teenagers. The cabin was very comfortable but the the spot to be is sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee looking out over the gums and the river. Sue and Peter were very thoughtful hosts - the pre-booked breakfast hamper was lovely, and we also enjoyed the barbecue for dinner. There was plenty of great birdlife around (we saw around 30 different birds) and the short river walk was beautiful. We left with very fond memories of our stay.

Lovely, well-appointed cottages in a beautiful riverside location. The backdrop of the Barrington Tops is stunning, and the bird life worth the visit alone. We had regular visits from a group of black cockatoos. Everything has been thought of, including the Weber on the balcony, beers and nuts on arrival, and a great selection of wines to purchase from an excellent local vineyard. We can’t wait to visit again.

My girlfriends and I had a lovely 3 days staying at the Barrington Hideaway. We had planned a 'girls trip away' and were not disappointed. This accommodation is only 5 minute drive from out of town and are immaculately clean. The cottages are equipped with everything you will need and Sue and Paul were fantastic hosts! We enjoyed some local bushwalking, river kayaking and sitting out on the picturesque deck enjoying a few drinks. A perfect weekend away for friends, couples or family. A must stay in Gloucester!

Beautiful cabin only a few minutes drive outside of gloucseter. So peaceful and quiet, beautiful verandah overlooking the river, lots of nature, and wildlife. 😍 had a great stay 😀
