Nice place to visit. 2 unisex toilets available outside the building close to the parking area. We were there too early and the visitor center yet to open, so we only took some photos outside the building and move to our next destination:)

A beautiful place. The beach, positivity, imagination, having respect for our place in nature, and the environment are among the issues that are discussed the most frequently. The most pleasurable and cost-effective way to have an experience that is analogous to visiting a museum or an art exhibition, as well as the one that provides the greatest satisfaction.

The Visitors Centre is housed in a beautiful old building. Small art gallery and visitor information works well. Nice street art at the back of the building.

I honestly didn’t expect Geraldton to be this busy — in the best way possible. I was imagining a quiet coastal stop a few hours north of Perth, but what I found was a vibrant city buzzing with life, charm, and so much more than I anticipated.

Tucked along the turquoise edge of the Indian Ocean, Geraldton has that easygoing seaside feel, but with all the amenities and energy of a larger town. It caught me off guard how well it balances natural beauty, history, and modern comforts. I came here for a break, and found myself swept up in everything the city has to offer.

The beaches are stunning — perfect for a swim, windsurfing, or just relaxing with a coffee from one of the surprisingly good local cafés (seriously, the café scene here is thriving). One of the most moving stops for me was the HMAS Sydney II Memorial. It’s not just a beautiful monument, but a deep reminder of the history this region holds.

And then there’s everything nearby: wildflower trails, the unreal Pink Lake which are just incredible. I kept discovering more and more to do — way more than I’d planned for.

What struck me most, though, was the community vibe. Friendly locals, art popping up in unexpected places, good food, and a sense that this is a place people truly love. Geraldton feels like a hidden gem that’s somehow still under the radar, but buzzing with life and intention. It’s the kind of place that surprises you — and then stays with you.

Best visitors centre I've ever been to.
The building is gorgeous, the centre itself is beautifully maintained and immaculately presented, and the Art Gallery is such a wonderful place to wander and enjoy some quiet time and captivating art.
A special thank you to Melinda and Deb at the visitors centre counter, they were both so helpful and knowledgeable, and there was a genuine sense of joy in the interaction; outstanding staff members. ❤️ Thank you so so much, they are such an incredible way to be welcomed into Geraldton.

Went here to get an art map of Geraldton to do the tour of the area. Lady at the infodesk helped me out inmediately. The map itself wasn't quite accurate and clear. I suggest you go down Main Terrace starting fron the visitor centre and do as many side streets as possible. Including passing through a mall area to get out in another street. Then, close the art walk loop by passing parallel to Main Terrace but along the Foreshore. Once again, take your time to spot the street art work. The thematics are mostly Environment, Respect Our Place In Nature, Beach, Positivity and Imagination. The cheepest museum/exhibition like art work admiration you can do and totally satisfying!
