4/7/2025. Yesterday we went out with Captain Rod & EP Cruises at Fowlers Bay. This was the first time I have seen Southern Right whales & there were lots of pregnant mothers & a mother with a calf. The mother whale & calf felt confident to swim alongside our boat & I was amazed at how close they came. Rod was a wealth of knowlege & recognised some of the whales from previous years. They feel safe enough to give birth here. We also went out to the headland where the sea pounds against the limestone cliffs & were lucky enough to see fur seals. Without a doubt this is the best whale cruise I have been on.I booked over a month ago & have come from Sydney & this trip was so worth waiting for! 5/5

Even though we didn’t see and whales on our cruise, we loved every minute of it! The commentary was very informative and interesting. Rod had a lot of knowledge about the area and the wildlife. After the cruise we stayed in Fowlers Bay for lunch before heading back out. Friendly crew.

Absolutely fantastic day on the water with Rod and the crew of EP Cruises on 11/07/24.
2 Southern Right Wales and calf’s along with a Humpback Whale & calf completed with dolphins and sea lions.
Highly recommend anyone crossing the Nullarbor during whale season, July- October, to take the 22km detour down to Fowlers Bay and get onboard one of Rod’s tours!!!

Me and 3 friends joined the EP cruises boat on Saturday and saw 20 whales! An incredible day, the crew are so lovely and give super interesting information. They spin the boat so everyone can see the whales comfortably, and make sure everyone is having a good time ! I’ll definitely come back when I visit next 😁

Not knowing what to expect as whale season has only just started, today my wife and I jumped on a whale watching tour with EP cruises at Fowlers Bay.

Within minutes of leaving the pier we spotted our first Southern Right Whale.

Chatting to our skipper and guide Rod, his passion and depth of knowledge for these majestic ocean giants was immediately obvious. The story of these whales and the history of the bay is wildly fascinating.

Throughout the tour we saw several mother and calves, one of which was just a few days old! What a magical place, if you ever get the chance it’s well worth a visit!

Once in a lifetime experience. Can’t express my feelings in words after watching Humpback Whale with her calf from EP cruise today morning.

Our tour host's welcome everyone and made sure that we saw the whales and other wildlife available to see. The tickets for a tour was reasonable price for the time taken
They kept us informed of what was going on . I found the boat to be really comfortable, safe and big . I would highly recommend a tour if you're visiting Fowler's Bay to see the whales in their natural habitat with EP Cruises to get up close. We both really appreciate that EP cruises made sure that whales were not disturbed by our sighsee tour . I found that they treated all the wildlife during the tour with respect. Well done we loved it

Cruised with EP twice - once out of Fowlers bay for a whale watching tour and another time on their Nuyts Expedition out of Streaky Bay. Rod and his crew have always been very generous with their knowledge and making sure everyone on the tour is well taken care of. All around great guys - a must do if you’re visiting the Ceduna area. Nuyts was such an amazing experience full of wildlife and history with so much more to discover - definitely planning a third trip back
