Nick went out of his way to help us & to make us feel welcome. It is hard traveling with our special needs daughter at times & we arrived late.
The room was pre-heated for us & Nick made a pot of coffee for my wife & I & a milo for my daughter. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable & clean. I can certainly recommend staying there.

Great quiet location for breaking up the trip. Booked in last minute and was made to feel very welcome with a late checkin, the room was even pre-warmed with heating running when we arrived. highly recommended.

Stayed at the Shiralee motel on two occasions for the weekend with family to attend a family funeral in town. Management are very friendly, helpful and accommodating, rooms are very clean, well equipped, cosy and warm and the beds are fantastic. Highly recommend

I booked a room directly with the Shiralee Motel and because of changes I cancelled 10 days before the arrival date. I telephoned the motel and they sent me a tax invoice for $149 and the word cancelled on the tax invoice.

Their booking confirmation email stated that a cancellation can be made up 7 days before the arrival.

So I was very surprised to get a tax invoice for $149.

I had to quote their cancellation policy to the motel.

Very strange.

The room was very comfortable with a lounge area along with a table & chairs & a huge TV. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small but adequate with toiletries provided. |The owner was very welcoming & directed us to the Royal Hotel for a great dinner.

I’ve stayed in lots of random places all over Australia in lots of small towns and random motels. I can confidently say that this place is the best I’ve stayed to date! The bed was comfortable and the pillows awesome! The water pressure in the shower was amazing. It was clean which is obviously the number one requirement. The owner friendly and accommodating when I had to change from a room from just my husband and I to include teenagers who decided to tag along last minute… not to mention Easter eggs because the time of year! Free biscuits (sooo many) and bottled water (including sparkling which is my fav!) I throughly recommend! I even loved the artwork in our room so much that I’m probably about to be broke because I’ve googled the artist… and damn! ? Thanks Shiralee!! Being from Brisbane when we travel south to Sydney or Melbourne we normally stop somewhere in Tamworth to break up the trip… but Damn! From now on Guyra is the place!

Would highly recommend. Room was lovely and clean, bed was very comfortable, linen and towels good quality. The managers were very friendly and helpful. We would use this Motel again
