Such an impactful way to remember the sacrifice so many men and women made to ensure we enjoy the liberties we have today! The quotes on the signboards as you ascend the stairs to the monument provide context for the experience at the time. The effort required to reach the monument (our small sacrifice) helps focus one's thoughts on the larger recognition intended.

This is a large scale monument located at the end of Apex Drive at Mt. Clarence in the Albany Heritage Park. There is a car park at the bottom of a long set of steps that take visitors up to the Memorial.

What you find is a bronze replica originally erected at Port Said, Egypt. The replica was created and erected here in 1964 as part of an overall testimony to ANZAC found throughout the Albany Heritage Park.

What you see are two bronze soldiers and horses in action, likely representing Australia and New Zealand brothers in arms during WWI action (1916-18). The bronze are atop a rectangular shaped pillar. There is open space around with views of the King George Sound, marina and other areas around Albany as well.

An absolutely wonderful memorial tribute to the mounted Anzacs. The views of the harbour, where these soldiers sailed from, are spectacular.

Respectfully laid out at the top of the hill with some absolutely spectacular views. The way up is very steep. You can either walk up the hill or climb the stairs. There is a pick-up and drop-off area at the top of the hill where you can get dropped off to have a look if you're unable to walk up. It's well worth it to have a look.

Lovely memorial with beautiful views, definitely worth walking up all the stairs to see it. There’s plenty of wildlife around too, so many lizards scattering. There’s no toilets and only has disabled and pick up/ drop off parking at the top.

There are options available if you are mobility challenged. So go. Cannot say enough how awe inspiring and humbling this place it. So many different things to look at and so many warriors. Unashamedly, I choked back tears when I saw the faces of the diggers and their horses up close. The artist captured that pain. Well worth the climb up the stairs.
