Overall a great experience in a beautiful place with only a few very minor issues. The wine was great, and we liked that we could taste four wines free with food as we found that was the right amount for us to sample and enjoy. The food was delicious and very well presented, and our only critique is just that for the price the portion size was quite small, but that is expected for a more high end establishment. The staff were very friendly and helpful and came and checked with us at all the right times which we loved. They were also very patient with our baby which was so nice because we know a lot of staff find babies annoying. We also had a ginger beer and a chai latte, both of which were delicious. The wait time was appropriate for a nice place and we felt grateful we got served so quickly despite not making a booking. Our only real complaint is just that there were no fans for the outside seating area so it got quite hot, which definitely detracted from the experience for us. Other than that, great service, drinks and food, so thumbs up.
We also bought a bottle of wine for a gift for family and are very excited to give it to them. Bravo Monty's Leap.

We had the best experience tasting wines and eating lunch out on the deck of this lovely winery. All the staff were friendly and attentive, with excellent knowledge of the food and wines. We chose the Chef’s Menu and each dish was delicious and presented like a work of art. We wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again. A special thanks to Mario, who indulged us with all our questions!

From the incredible food to the cosy atmosphere and wonderful service, this was easily one of the best restaurants my wife and I had been to. The Winter Chef's Menu is a must have, as every dish was delightful and full of flavour. The lamb however was THE standout - I have never had lamb so delicious and cooked to such a perfect texture. I would have expected to pay double for the quality and portion of food we received. They should be charging much more. The wine was also so tasty.

Huge props to the chefs, as well as our fantastic and bubbly waitress Michelle, who made our lunch such a memorable one with her warm hospitality and sense of humour. She was extremely accommodating to us and ensured there was ample space for our pram.

If you're after a breathtaking dining experience at a very affordable price, look no further than Monty's Leap.

5 stars all round. What an amazing experience in the most beautiful setting. The food was incredible. We began with the macadamia dip and breads, scallop ceviche then I had the gnocchi and my husband had lamb. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. Thank you 🩵

amazing stopover if you’re in albany with great great food. wine wasn’t to our taste but we found the squid to die for. the scallops were also amazing and we had the most beautiful lunch overlooking the winery. highly recommend 🙂

About a 20min drive from Albany, but supremely worth it. The views? Stellar. Service? Top tier. Food? Bangin'. Wines? Easy drinking.

Went a bit earlier than our booking (essential) to have a wine tasting. It's a paid tasting with different price tiers, redeemable upon bottle purchase. However, it's worth the price of admission. The tasting was generous and informative. Sparkling and Cab Franc for the win, personally.

It was bad but could be better

I was here with family and friends for my birthday and we reserved a long table. It was busy which is great for business but erodes customer service.

Meals were delivered randomly, my daughters pizzas was totally missed off the order.

Service was all over the show and quality varied between arriving hot and cold even to the point of the salad having a caterpillar.

We started with scallops the sauce was nice - think red Thai curry. But scallops overly seared on the edges. Vastly overdone.

Wife crab pasta was quite starchy and lacked additional prawns she asked for. We counted 1 in total.

My sticky chicken was nice and sort of a Thai salad.

The pizzas arrived overdone on the outside and underdone in the middle. The pizza over temp was too high.

The views on a good day are brilliant.

Wine was ok.

Overall would probably be fine in small crowds but not geared yet for the busy times.

Absolutely amazing experience. Food was great with lot of local seasonal ingredients. Waitress Jezz was really friendly and and know the food and menu well, nice warm welcome on the door when entering.
The designer of the place have done a perfect job and view is amazing aswell!

Definitely best food experience Around Albany so far. Will be happy to go back.
