Absolute brilliant place to visit and find out about the local area. Interactive media for kids and adults to learn about the importance of wetlands to protect our water into the future. Ample parking and wheelchair friendly. Staff and volunteers are very friendly and helpful.
Update January 2020 now has coffee shop which makes a great cup of coffee and ice creams to choose from.

this little Tourist information centre are pretty neat and tidy. they have a little display to show some of the information about the wetland, there is a little bridge in the back, also the souvenir section.
they has been taking very good care of the wetland, river was a little bit low, happy to see different thing around melbourne. it has different kind of wild life living here. some i have never seen.

Great parklands, toilet facilities, picnic tables, chairs/seats, gift shop, suspension bridge, native animals, trees and plants as well as a couple of bird watching shelters around the loop walks. They are a few signs and maps around the loop but I didn't find them all that clear to be honest, there were many paths that didn't seem to be marked on the map but we're clearly an alternative route. Very enjoyable, even your in the depth of the parklands it's hard to believe you're in a town on a main road. Dogs allowed on the leash, great walking paths and wooden trails. Only other comment is that the rivers and damns had many trees fallen into the water stopping the flow, and local council should probably try to clear then away a bit, and a few other general upkeep issues we spotted.

We went for a stroll around the wetlands and were delighted with the experience. Such a beautiful sanctuary for wildlife. The pathway is flat and well maintained and taking your time and stopping quietly will probably reward you with glimpses of sleeping, playing or foraging wildlife. 😁

A great place to stop for a break of journey. Learn about the local culture in the Discovery Center, then enjoy tranquility and fresh air on the Wetlands Walk, it starts just outside the building!

I'd like to say a big thankyou, to the staff working on 28/8/24,for their role, in getting my Mums wallet back to her.
