Great food, and great service for dinner. The restaurant is run by students/ teainees of the Melbourne Polytechnic Preston Campus (formally NMIT) the ambience in the dining room is like a 4-5 star restaurant setting. It's a cosy atmosphere. Plenty of tables, but booking is recommended as it can get quite busy.

The price is also cheap, $30 for a 3 course meal, they are licenced and do beer, wines, cocktails and mocktails.

A beautifully set restaurant which made us feel special when we walked in. Lovely table setting and the free parking on site made it easy.

We were warmly welcomed from Cassandra and Jiro and this added a very nice personal touch.

The food was of good quality, beautifully presented on the plate and generous in portion. Excellent value.

Thanks Jiro I'll be back when I take another Friday off work.

For over 10 years, I have been enjoying fabulous food - lunch / dinner. The High Teas, Cocktail parties and Special Chef Dinners have been amazing. The teachers, front of house or back of house, are so dedicated and diligent. So finally, I decided to take on a Commercial Cookery Course at Melbourne Polytechnic. Now I understand why St George’s is an amazing restaurant. No short cuts, everything is done from scratch and fresh. And all reputable Wines are at cost price. That’s why it’s FABULOUS.
