I can honestly say this place is amazing.
This old chook who hasn’t been to school in years.
I started here a few weeks ago and I’m loving it so much I may go further.
I have found the staff extremely helpful and my silly tech issues no bother to them.
Highly recommended this place.

Im not saying about the school services today but I’d like to give feedback about what Ive experienced today during my break time at cafeteria. When I ordered a medium mocha and requested for ‘normal sugar,’ the staff looked at me so disrespectful and he even educated me to speak “full sentence” with those unsatisfied gestures. If I looked confused, Please.. you should have politely explained the options instead of making me feel like I was being educated on how to order. Im a student and I pay for my own drinks as well😌

Not a bad school by any chance. Great if you want lighter workloads. Quite limited programs and facilities when compared to MU or RMIT though

I had a big trouble getting a refund from this school. They did not hold true to what I signed for in the first place and what the international office did to me was very dodgy.

I do not recommend this school at all, especially if you are an international student. I would not give them even one star if there was an option. This school treats international students very improperly.

I was enrolled Certificate IV as an international student, and I signed the letter of offer in March 2024. However, due to unseen circumstances, I had to withdraw my application about “2 MONTHS” before the course starts.

I contacted the international office regarding withdrawing process. The international office gave me the wrong refund policy which turned out to be for “domestic students” saying I would get full refund. I was misled by the school. But the wording on the refund policy for international students and the one in the letter of offer were unclear. It didn’t seem I meet the criteria either for a partial or full refund. From the international office, I got an email saying I’m only entitled to get a partial refund because in the refund policy says,

“Where the student, after accepting an offer for a place to study in a VET or Higher Education course, gives written notice of their intention to withdraw within 28 days post commencement of the semester date, a refund of course fees paid will be made, less an administrative fee of 25% of the full course semester fee owed.”
(The full semester fee is $9800. 25% of $9800 = $2450. They received $4900 - $2450 = $2450 refund.)

At this point I was two months BEFORE the commencement, their response didn’t make any sense.
I decided to go to the international office in Preston to discuss this issue because they were taking so long time to respond to my email. The staff who dealt with this case gave me an excuse that he was new at job, so he accidentally sent me a wrong refund policy, which was very unprofessional. Also, I pointed out the wording was different, and he only just said “Oh it’s just the wording, the wording is a little off”. Then what is the point of me signing as a contract, what is a contract if not wording?

They kept insisting that I was only entitled to get a partial refund, so I decided to submit a complaint form to the school. In the response, the manager from the international office admitted they forgot changing refund policy on the letter of offer template when they updated their policy in 2023, and wording on refund policy lacked consistency. But he concluded I was still not entitled to get full refund even it was completely their fault having lack of wording on their policy. I found it extremely dodgy that in his response to my case, he quoted their “new” refund policy saying you will be entitled to get a partial refund if you submit the withdrawal from “from the date of acceptance to 28 days after commencement” to back up that I am still not entitled to get a full refund. This wording “from the date of acceptance” did not appear in any single documents I was given from the school and the ones I signed. So, they were still looking at any wording on a document apart from the one I actually put my signature on, which would entitle me to a full refund.

Since his response didn’t make sense, I had to request an internal appeal. The school investigated this case with their legal team. The executive director overturned the decision made by the manager at the international office now I was entitled to get a full refund. I was going to take this issue to ombudsman if the school still insisted that I was only entitled to get a partial refund. At least, their internal appeal process was working fairly this time.

I have reported this issue to every single study agents I have talked to, regarding studying this school. They have taken this issue very seriously. I hope no international students will be treated like this in the future and they don’t make decisions to go to this school. I’m extremely proud of myself deciding not to attend this school.

It is a good place for PTE exam centre compare to other but there are some problem for number of student such as power problems and some time computer issues from Pearson’s but compare with Melbourne central and box hill this place is good for exam. Number of seats compare to the Melbourne central station PTE exam centre and very quite place. There are public transport available for this place and also you can park your car at Melbourne polytechnic Preston campus for 4 hours and it’s free but you want to inform to the security office or guard. Headphone quality is good and well staff.

Coming to the institution today just to have a look around and having a sit for a while after a short walk in building F.

A bloke approached me and asking what i was doing and once he knew i'm not a student, he instructed me to leave the premise.

Such a rude behaviour to a prospective student. I could not imagine how he usually behaves to the melbourne polytechnic students in day to day basis.

To anyone who has the capabilities, try to investigate this. This approach can not be tolerated. How about if somebody who takes a PTE Academic test coming just to have a test and unaccidentally met him and he interrogated people like a detective? He might be a staff, but he is not the security officer for sure.

As far as I know, there is no such restrictions to get into a common space of a university building. If you want to make it exclusive, will be good to put a FOB key access into the entire building so only students and staffs can get into.

I highly not recommended to come to this institution. Very unwelcoming and rude. Even if he was not instructed me to leave, i am more than happy to go and actually about to go as well. No wonder if nobody's around.

I arrived for my full head of foils at 10am what a disgrace finished me at 4 pm the teacher Ann Marie was so unprofessional and my hair was a complete disaster I had to come home and put a colour in it what a total waste of 120.00 I. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ACADEMY 😡
