I found the staff member working on the 9th of May to be very combative and standoffish when I asked any questions about the rental. Their attitude made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Next time, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

Took a booking and then left me high and dry the day before I had to move house said they had overbooked not happy

After putting a booking in online and confirming with head office, arriving at my booking pick-up (11am) to an out of office sign, I received a phone call from Jamie who told me he had no cars I could hire. Despite my booking being placed prior to 9.30am, I did not receive this call until after I had already left the budget depot with intention to return at 11.30 (the sign said the office was closed until this time).
There was approximately 7-10 cars in the yard that Jamie said were to be used from bookings later in the week. He made no attempt to find out if there was a car available in Traralgon (the next closest depot) . He suggested I go to Hertz. In the end, I’m glad he sent me there. The service was efficient, friendly and I now know where I will hire from in the future.
I know with 100% certainty that he should have at least attempted to find out if he could have got a different car for his Monday booking. (And I don’t for a second believe that every car in the yard would be going out early Monday morning) , he was just too lazy to try.

Do yourself a favour and go see Sammy at Hertz in Sale!

Very friendly and hassle-free service, although I was charged full price for a 3-year-old vehicle with 70000 km on it. The car was clean at least, and the option of out-of-hours drop-off was nice.

I use this business each year, the cars are clean well maintained and Ive never had issues with Budget in Sale Victoria. Key drop off across the street after hours is a great service too.
