Was a last minute walk in dinner in the Lonsdale bistro with a couple of friends on a Sunday night. Food was excellent, decent wine available, service was welcoming with friendly staff. Meals arrived reasonably quickly. I had a chicken schnitzel with Diane sauce, mash and veg. Best schnitzel I've had in a while, golden, moist and a reasonable size. Vegetables were done to perfection with a slight crunch to them. Friends had a stuffed chicken which was also really nice.

I recently went to the Lonsdale Hotel for a easy dinner meal with my extended family, and we were really impressed! The recent refit has given the place a fresh and modern feel, especially in the Bistro, which now has a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The food was great – classic pub meals done well, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. There was a good variety on the menu, and everyone at our table enjoyed their meals.

What really stood out, though, was the excellent service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they take pride in creating a welcoming experience for guests.

Overall, a solid 4-star experience, with 5-star service. We’ll definitely be back!

Group if 5, mostly ok, beef curry on the specials was apparently just ok but not heat hot, just mild warm. My roast lamb, veg were good, lamb tender but tastes like re heated left overs, grilled fish good and pork was ok. Big menu, maybe cut back the amount on offer and just do it very well for the rest. Unfortunately, these days when charging higher prices people expect good quality even if the quantity is a bit smaller. Maybe be back sometime.

Do not eat here. Ordered the $28 'roast turkey' and was given slices of cold, processed deli turkey slices. Asked the manager for a replacement and he responded "Darling, you realise we can't cook you a whole turkey in the kitchen? you've never worked in hospitality before, have you? This is pressed meat, we order it in." I was shocked and appalled, no apology of course, he should be ashamed of his attitude and lack of customer service skills. Do not label your meals as something they are not, and do not respond rudely when customers expectedly (and politely) complain.

Reading negative comments, it seems the manager will always respond along the lines of "we strive to improve". After months of no improvement, it becomes clear that profit is the priority of the Lonsdale Hotel, not customer satisfaction. Do better.

The food was amazing however we had to wait for 15 minutes for drinks every time we ordered drinks and it wasn’t overly busy
We also have some people order starters only and some ordered mains after starters came and all finished the main still not coming that we have to go ask the staff to check

Caught up with some friends for Sunday lunch. We’re greeted by Jack who showed us to our table. What a lovely lad, very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the pork belly. OMG it was delicious. I am usually a Schnitty person but so glad I tried something new. Again, Jack was a breath of fresh air. Customer service 10/10

The hotel offers good value for money. Priced at $150 per room, it was conveniently located near our private event. While modernized, the accommodations are relatively basic. The pub’s renovations are appealing, and the function room is well-designed. Excellent customer service throughout the hotel was greatly appreciated.

Bottleshop doesn't adhere to the specials. 2 times I've gone there and they decline it and say it's what the docket says in the fridge thats what the price is.

(Seems I can't reply to your response, I showed the staff the specials online and was told it must have been an old promo and was charged over $10 more. The time prior they refused to check there billboards and was charged an extra $9.
