The Rex is our regular hotel for dinner. The service is always welcoming and attentive.
Even when under the pump we are still happy with everything.
The food is always delicious. There’s too many staff to mention but Alisha, Lyn, Lisa, Amy and Michael go out of their way to make sure everything is just right.

Love The Rex. Food is always on point. Staff are fantastic, especially Alisha, Lyn, Lisa, Steve, Nicole and Amy.
Highly recommend a visit and they make you feel like family. Even when busy, you are still made to feel special.

We’ve been eating lunch or dinner at the bistro way back before it was renovated. This place is quiet, relaxing with affordable menu prices. Now we are enjoying the new bistro with good food and still affordable menus. The staff are friendly and accomodating. We’ve met Chef Lyn who was attending the counter that time and she’s so helpful, friendly and accomodating.

The rooms are modern and comfortable. I cannot say enough about the restaurant. I require gf and do not like to make a fuss about it but the staff were amazing. The chef was concerned about what I ordered. There would be cross contamination with the chips so the waiter came to me and offered an alternative option. He came back after my food was delivered to check that I was happy. I’m so impressed with the whole experience. 10/10

I have been a regular patron of the Rex over the years, and certainly enjoy the new dining room. Had an excellent meal last night - delicious steak, sticky-date pudding, and a hot chocolate - all delivered by the excellent Amy and the other two staff (unfortunately, I didn't get their names). Brilliant service from them all - friendly and attentive. Thank you!

Im not sure why but I wasn’t expecting much when I arrived, it’s a little known pub part of a big group. I was really pleasantly surprised on both occasions. The prices are fair and both times we got a tasty well cooked meal. The staff are friendly and attentive.

I had a meal in the main dining room with my family and it was delicious! The newly renovated restaurant looks amazing and the food and service was all 5 star especially from Amy our lovely waitress. Would highly recommend to everyone. 🥰

Amazing service and really cool staff. Food was incredible, I got the pork ribs, and the serving size was massive, tasted phenomenal. Staff even provided sweet chilli and sour cream on the house for the wedges it came with.

We have only been here twice and both times the service has been the best we have ever had from any restaurant/pub.
