Had my surprise bridesmaid proposal here (disguised as a birthday dinner!) the other week and we all really enjoyed the food!

Everything was spectacular and as this is my second time coming here I had already known what to expect. Still, everything was just as good as I had them the first time and all the dishes were 10/10!

Me and the girls are quite avid foodies and this place really blew their minds! Me and my fiancé looove this spot and their sister restaurant Shobosho so I had known the quality and taste here would never disappoint. Amazing!

First visit, and won't be the last! The food was divine, and the service was super friendly. We did the lunch 3 course feed me, and it was plenty of food for us both. Totally recommend

We had the 5 course chefs menu, which included a great range from the menu: the wonton crisp, salmon sashimi, crumbed scallop, pork and prawn dumplings, tempura green beans, whiting, braised beef (with rice and salad) and coconut sorbet. There was definitely enough to eat and you will leave feeling full.

I thought that everything on the menu was great and well-seasoned, the kitchen did a particularly good job of balancing sauces/jus etc with their salt, heat, oils and acid and they always complimented the main component of the dish. The highlights were the scallop which was perfectly tender while maintaining a crispy shell and the green beans, which had such a great tempura coating. The only dish that I didn’t particularly enjoy was the beef cheek. While it was tender, I thought it was a little gamey and wasn’t balanced with other flavours to cut through that gaminess.

Overall, this was a great degustation and definitely one to try.

The restaurant itself has a nice décor and ambience. Everything was clean and I really like the kitchen being visible so you could see the food being prepared. Bathrooms were clean as was the restaurant itself.

A particular shout out to the staff who were friendly and presented with enthusiasm. Service was top shelf and you never had to look far or wait long if you needed anything.

Not quite what it used to be, the dishes are the same but the sophistication of the sauces and balance of flavours is gone. This used to be a gem but it has lost the edge. Raw items are still great quality. Dumplings are not well executed. Small snack and raw are the most interesting and delicious little bites. The larger dishes are for sharing, unfortunately the flavours were not balanced. The service was lovely and attentive.

Could not recommend this venue more! ❤️
Service was amazing, attentive and friendly without being over the top.
Food was well presented and delicious and the drinks menu is well thought out and reasonably priced - if you get a chance for Aaron to make you a dirty gin martini, take it - you will not be disappointed. We will be back….probably sooner than later.
In summary - don’t walk, run to Sho Sho as fast as you can.
