Maybe it was a very busy time for them but communication to set up the meeting wasn’t efficient at all. I expressed my preference to do a video call a few times, apparently this was not taken into consideration. When it was time for my appointment nobody contacted me. Emailed them to let them know that I was waiting- still nothing. Then gave them a call, Ehsan Azadi said he would call me in 5-10 mins, no apologies for making me wait at all. When he finally called me 15 mins later it was 35 mins past my original appointment time. Still no apologies. He was highly recommended by a friend of a friend, maybe I was expecting a bit too much but honestly, I wasn’t a big fan of his style. Visa problems are very stressful and clients need empathy and gentleness. Our phone conversation (no, it wasn’t a video call despite my request) lasted 24 mins which I paid 120 dollars for. He mainly told me I either need to leave Australia or find a sponsor without considering or trying to fully understand the nature of the work I do. Any question I asked was addressed in such a style that I felt like I was wasting someone’s valuable time. I would still not leave this review as I would simply think “our styles did not match” or “they weren’t professional enough” and let it go but I contacted another lawyer today who was deeply empathetic and who talked to me about a very specific visa I can get on based on the work I do and my qualifications. Not only did I feel heard by the other lawyer I talked to but also I found out about this other visa that gave me a lot of hope in terms of staying in the country. This other lawyer was on the phone with me for 40 mins and she didn’t even charge me for this initial consult! Based on the huge difference between these two experiences one day apart, I decided to leave this review. I do not recommend ARC to anyone at all.
