Because of all the bad reviews we went to the pub next door for lunch, what a dive! Smelly and dismal, what a waste of those glorious views and beautiful Hinchinbrook, the owners should be ashamed. So we walked out and thought we'd try the "crab place" afterall. So glad we did, it was great. It's a deli cafe, not a fine dining restaurant so we were not expecting that. I had the small crab sandwich, you can choose size and type of bread or a bun, I had the smallest wholemeal sandwich. It was very filling and plenty fresh crab and crunchy lettuce. Delicious 😋. My partner had the barramundi, calamari and potato scallops. Came with loads of lemon. We hate overcooked fish and this was juicy and cooked well. I also had a crab claw, soft and crunchy, yum.
We would definitely return.

A pretty cool place. I really would like to try the fish and chips, i was there for brekky which was good.... the toast.... not the best but the rest was good..

Food was good, but nothing fancy. Service was adequate even though they were quite busy when we arrived for lunch. It has a nice open atmosphere with views of Hinchinbrook Island.

Do not come here! Poor customer service, in fact, no customer service. The lady behind the counter was too busy gossiping with her colleague than getting the line of customers through. $60 for a veg burger, piece of mackeral, and small crab sandwich (which was bland). Stay away. 0/10

Ordered fish and chips for 2 with 2 drinks. The fish tasted terrible the chips tasted yuck too. It cost $45.15. Got fish and chips up the other end of Cardwell yesterday got more chips than that with 2 pieces of fish and 2 drinks paid $24.50 and it was great. Cardwell seaview deli Cafe should be ashamed of themselves not only are you ripping people off but the food is horrible.
If you travel through Cardwell DONT GO HERE.. TOTAL RIP OFF SHOP WITH THE BIG CRAB ON THE ROOF

We ordered food for takeaway. The fish, chips and squid rings were nearly cold. The fish was chewy and the rest of the food we ordered was sub-par.
Give the place a miss if you enjoy fresh seafood.
