A group of 19 and we all enjoyed it so much we rebooked for another dinner in 2 months time. Steaks perfectly cooked. Burgers to make the mouth water and my crumbed prawns, oh yum. Crispy chips and a fresh salad to accompany them made for a lovely meal.

Desert. I had the mango and macadamia🥰🙏🏻🫶❣️🥰🤩❣️🫶🙏🏻🙏🏻

A large dog at table level with its nose in my food, on my clothes and touching my personal items on the table is not what I went for. I just wanted to relax. We won’t be back.

I like dogs but not when I am eating food with a dog nose near it..

Hotel Manager -
Stated it’s not his responsibility really irritated me as it is his responsibility …and we had actually asked the owner to control their dog.

As a customer we calmly stated we didn’t like his attitude and the manager stated he didn’t like our attitude. So much for just saying, “Thanks for the information.” Instead stated, “Now I will have to speak to them.” So we said, “Don’t worry about it….”

For the manager, here is some information to help you…

“Yes, restaurant managers should remove dogs from the premises when complaints are made, especially if the dog is causing a disturbance or is not a service animal.”

Even moving the customer is an advisable manager’s decision. There were lots of empty tables in a different section.

We had a very positive experience and we were so glad we stopped by. We arrived a few minutes just before the kitchen closed. We ordered a burger and a pulled pork Parmy. They were both delicious. Staff were extremely friendly. The serving size is very generous.

Don't just drive past, you must stop in here. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I think we were served by the owners themselves and they are just delightful. Plenty of Gluten Free options and the kitchen is very knowledgeable about dietary requirements. The Saturday we went was nice and quiet, but Sundays are a little busier.

Visited here on Sunday there was live music. It took forever to be served and wagyu beef burger was great but a bit salty. Chicken turkish was so tasty. Kids beef burger was really big and yum.

We had our wedding November of 2022 and held our reception in the pioneer room at Old Petrie Town Heritage Hotel and had an absolute blast! Helen was amazing throughout the planning process, the food was delicious, service amazing and most importantly everyone had such a fun time and still are talking about it months later!

The venue was so beautiful and Helen and the rest of the staff put in so much work to make it exactly as we dreamt for it to be and were so great to have around!

I would highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married as they really go above and beyond with great pricing and professional service.

This is a secret little gem. Well priced, tastes good and very quick with the meals. I had the Captain's Catch and enjoyed it. The chef went out of his way to please the wife with vegetarian options. Out on the verandah was nice on a summers night on Valentine's Day. Good friendly service. Will be back. Good job Peter and crew.

Poor experience!!
Three of us had lunch yesterday and the order consisted of 2 serves of fish and chips and a serve of calamari. The batter on the fish was overcooked making the fish somewhat dry. The salad was not dressed properly and was tired looking and not appetizing, chips were dry and tasteless. Between the 3 of us, I was the only one that finished the fish, and only the calamari was eaten off the plate. We all left approximately 2/3rds of the food on the plate due to the above. Our unfinished meals sat on the table for at least 3/4 of an hour before taken away. I asked the waitress if the management and/or the chef had changed since last eating there, and she said no. I further went on to explain that the meals were of a poor standard and that I only ate the fish because I was hungry, however my comments needed to be conveyed back to the chef. This was the same young waitress who I initially asked at the bar “Is there a wine list”, to which she replied no. It wasn’t until I said you are joking that she attempted to go and find one. Apparently, it was under the menu’s. Will not be back to eat there ever again.
