My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Stradbroke Island Hotel in November 2024, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The function room offers breathtaking ocean views, creating the perfect backdrop for a special celebration. The food was absolutely outstanding—some of the best we’ve ever had at a wedding, and the chef truly exceeded ours and our guests expectations.Our guests are still raving about the food. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially in assisting us with setting up our décor. The entire event ran smoothly, and the customer service was excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend the hotel’s function room for anyone planning a wedding—it ticked every box for us. The accommodation was also perfect, and convenient for our guests. A big thank you to the Stradbroke Island Hotel and all the wonderful staff, you truly made our special day unforgettable!

We had room 103 which was directly above the pub, but great noise cancelling doors meant we were nice and quiet. Jo at reception was fabulous-very generous with her knowledge of the island. The view is incredible, pub food great, and location to the beach is perfect. Room was clean, bed very comfortable and it was light and spacious. The hotel pool is one of the best around - water is so soft, and no chlorine smell. Beautiful to swim in. We had late check out and couldn’t be happier. Definitely be back.

My wife and I had an apartment booked here for 3 nights, I can honestly say it was money well spent and that I will 100% be back. Accommodation was superb, views were stunning, staff were friendly and attentive. Secure guest parking, what's not to love. The beach and pool access is easy to navigate, and the restaurant was top quality.

We stayed for 3 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment.
On the first night the aircon wasn’t working and we requested it to be fixed. It couldn’t be fixed so they moved us to another apartment the next morning.
The apartment is good, great view, nice showers and beds. The kitchen is also good and has everything you need. We had to wash again cups, plates, knifes and forks because they were dirty.
The layout of the master bedroom is complicated if you’re travelling with more people like us. The master has a big window opening to the living room that doesn’t close properly and the lack of privacy was a problem for us.
The downstairs pub is very good for meals and to have a drink. It is very close to the beach. The swimming pool is great.
We had an urgent situation in the hotel at night and we couldn’t find any staff. We tried to ring their emergency number and no one answered. We managed to resolve ourselves but it was scary.

We dined at the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel and it was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful even when our food buzzer wasn’t working. They found us and solved this issue quickly. The food came out really quickly even though it was busy. Highly recommend and will be back for sure.

Ordered child’s cheeseburger meal, beef patty rare sent back to try again. Second attempt rare. Money was refunded but chief wanted a 3rd crack at cooking a beef patty. Embarrassing in my eyes, very let down. Not to mention 2 beef burgers ordered on the main menu also come undercooked and sent back for another attempt. Education defiantly needed in the kitchen.

Just spent a few days at our favourite island. While the food was pretty good, the misery and sourness of the staff at this hotel is staggering. We were stunned at how unhappy and surly every single staff member was. If you hate your job so much Get Out Of The Way and move on! Give someone else who would appreciate it a go.

Great weekend at straddie for Australia Day, the hotel staff were really helpful, for some reason the bar and restaurant were so quiet and bar closed very early like 10:30 the pool needs a bit of an update but would recommend
