Unforgettable Adventure in Airlie Beach – A Must-Do!

My time in Airlie Beach is hard to top—truly one of the best experiences of my life! If you're planning a trip, do not miss the boat tour. I did the 3-day, 2-night sailing adventure around the Whitsundays aboard the stunning Solway Lass, a 123-year-old tall ship with an incredible history, having sailed through two world wars. The sense of heritage and charm on that vessel is something you won’t find anywhere else.

The crew was phenomenal—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. They made sure everyone was looked after and shared so much fascinating information about the islands and marine life. The group dynamic was amazing too. I'm 30, and if you're wondering whether you're the right age for this kind of trip—don’t even hesitate. You'll meet amazing people and make memories (and friends) that will last a lifetime.

To top it all off, I also did a scenic flight around the Great Barrier Reef, and it was absolutely incredible—breathtaking views that I’ll never forget. And if you're worried about the weather, don’t be. It always gets better, and every moment out there is worth it.

This trip is pure magic. If you’re thinking about it—just book it. You’ll thank yourself later.

We did a three night two day on one of the catamarans and had an epic experience that our family will remember forever! The crew were beyond friendly and we felt comfortable, well fed and well entertained the whole time with plenty of chill time as well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a special, professional and unforgettable experience!

Did 3d2n on the british defender and even if the weather wasn't perfect it was 100% worth it. Very friendly crew, very good snorkeling spot, good food, good organization and very comfy beds. We were 21 on the boat plus 3 crew members. It was very pleasant to discover Whitsundays like this, enjoy the landscape, traveling "slow", no noise compared to speedboats, and spending every evening with other guests was perfect to meet people, it is a social experience too ! Came with my partner. Definitely recommend

We had an amazing 1 hour scenic flight out with our pilot Joe, going over Whitehaven beach, the reef and heart reef. He made the nervous in our group feel very comfortable and at ease, he had great knowledge of the area and the weather was perfect so we saw so many great sites!

My family and I chose to use the scenic flight out to see the Great Barrier Reef and it was an experience of a lifetime!!!! The crew were absolutely wonderful - they must love their jobs! The flight was awe inspiring…..see my photos!!! It’s not cheap and we did think hard about spending the money but having done it we now are 100% it was worth every single penny! If you’re considering this - just do it!

Trip of a lifetime! Just completed a 2D2N private charter on the Whitsundays Pearl with Captain Mark & Izzy.

Accommodations a were great, Mark & Izzy focused heavily on making sure we got the most out of this charter with sightseeing, adventures & comfort.

Izzy made delicious meals and snacks, food was abundant!

Mark was so knowledgeable about sailing and the Whitsundays.

We had the best time, highly recommend !

What an amazing experience! This is such a well run organization. The staff is friendly, accommodating and always willing to go the extra mile. The food was fantastic-much better than one would expect on a pontoon in the middle of the ocean! Our dives were awesome and the dive team was so professional and knowledgeable. The pictures were great, the accommodations fantastic…we just had the best time and highly, highly, recommend!

We had the loveliest time on the Sundowner Sunset Cruise. It's just the perfect amount of time to relax and enjoy the magnificent sunset. You get a glass of champagne on arrival, nibblies, a bar to purchase extra drinks and music throughout. The crew were very friendly also. Highly recommend!
