Had another wonderful relaxed week at our Happy Place. Oceans Edge 14 and beautiful Terrigal never fails to deliver, such a comfortable, well appointed and centrally located Apartment. Spectacular holiday home- Kailani View, Avoca Beach

We went to Avoca Beach for a quick weekday getaway. We rented a holiday home through Accom Holidays. I was really pleased with the service from the Accom Holidays team. They were quick to respond to my online query and when I collected the house keys from their office, the lady gave me a warm and welcoming smile. The accommodation was beautiful with spectacular ocean views in the living area and master bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed the 4 days we were there. The place was well-maintained, it was clean and comfortable. The furniture, appliances were of high quality. I really enjoyed cooking as the induction cooktop and the stainless steel oven brought out the best in my cooking! Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing and memorable experience. We would definitely come back and book through Accom Holidays.

We have booked various beach holiday houses through Accom Holidays about 6 times in the last couple of years and we have always had excellent service. They have a great range of houses but the ones we choose are right on the beachfront AND they allow pets. We have wonderful holidays with both my children bringing along a friend, my Mum and my two dogs - everyone is happy. Staying in a house means you can save heaps of money by eating in rather than out at restaurants for every meal. The Accom Holidays website is excellent with an advanced search function to allow you search for parameters like beachfront, pet friendly, pool/spa, rural/acreage and views. And while you can get all the information from the website, they have 3 actual offices with local people to talk to about the various properties. The properties have all been clean and tidy, and exactly as described on the website. You are given an information pack on collection of the keys, and during your stay you can call them if there are any problems. I recommend Accom Holidays to all my friends and family.

I made an enquiry about booking a house with Accom Holidays for a weekend away with friends for 8 adults. I received a call back asking about our plans and I was asked who would be there (are they females / males) and what ages everyone was. I said a mix of men and women (not sure why this matters) and in terms of ages I said everyone is in their 20s/30s. The person questioned this and wanted more specifics which I thought was odd seeing as I thought they just wanted to check we were over 18. I said everyone is aged between 28-31.

The person said they would need to check this with their manager. I asked what needed to check and they said they “have this thing” where you need to be over the age of 30 to book the property. I said that sounded strange and I didn’t read that anywhere on the listing or their website. The person responded and said “I’m sure it will be fine but it’s just this thing we have and I need to check.” I asked where this age restriction was written and the person just kept referring to it as “this thing they have” and that it comes from needing to comply with “council by-laws.”

I then asked her to send me the link or document to where this restriction or rule was written so I could read it and make sure there were no other rules I was unaware of before booking. The person got very short with me and said she would send me their terms and conditions and hung up on me. Of course I never received an email from them, even after I sent a follow up email requesting this age restriction in writing. I believe this is because they know that it is unlawful to not allow a booking based on age.

I don’t believe there are any council by-laws that restrict age on bookings and that is why they couldn’t refer me to any specific rule, document or website. I read the terms and conditions on Accom Holidays website and they make no mention of age restrictions.

30 years of age also seems like quite a random age to select as the minimum age for bookings. I can’t really understand the logic behind it when by 30, a lot of people have lived very full lives, are very established and mature, and wouldn’t expect to be discriminated against for being too young to book a holiday rental. This was a really strange, and frankly illegal, experience and I’d recommend spending your money elsewhere.

We stayed for our honeymoon at the spot for 4 nights at Terrigal. We adored it , great location for romantic beach walks or just eat al fresco and super convenient parking! Can’t wait to go back this time with our dogs !

We’ve just had our third stay at Blue Haven in Terrigal, and it’s become our favourite family holiday destination! The location and apartment are perfect for our young family (2 adults with a 3 and 5 year old), and we love the fact that the beach is just an easy walk away. We would definitely recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday for a family with young kids. We can’t wait to book again for next year!!

We had a fantastic stay in Terrigal with Accom Stays. Everything was very simple and straightforward throughout and the team were very helpful. The place was perfect for a young family and had great beach views! Will be back for sure!

We stayed at Sei Vardi Terrigal in March 2023 and loved it. We were a group of 4 couples so the upstairs/downstairs self contained areas worked perfectly for us. It’s a nice walk to the beach and shops - loved it and would highly recommend Accom holiday rentals.
