Overnight stop I’m gunnedah and headed here for a meal ! I haven’t had a pub meal this great in years! Had the rump with a mixed grill topper veges and chips , shared with my travel partner . Could not fault!! Cooked perfectly . Large portion , excellent quality meat ! Should be more pub feeds like this. Well done railway hotel!

The meals at The Railway must be some of the best pub grub in NSW.

We ate there tonight and ordered rump steak and a chicken schnitty. The steak was so tasty and tender and the schnitzel was crunchy and moist! And the value!!! They were $26 and $25.... So good!

The kids rated their burger and nachos also... Great portion sizes for $13 a pop.

Compliments to the chef... We will be back!

Went here for dinner whilst visiting a friend, it was steaks all around and we were all impressed. Cooked to our liking. Service and atmosphere also good

Was enjoying a quiet break from the road, minding our own business (after a very average meal) when a senior staff member came up & shouted “a dog!” so loudly that she made me jump & scared the hell out of the sleeping dog, who of course jumped up & barked at her. Two min later she had a junior member of staff throw us out because she’d scared my dog into barking. Same dog had been there an hour, greeted at least half a dozen people & another dog with tail wags & happy smiles all round. Absolutely disgusting behaviour sending a junior to kick out a patron because of her own stupidity. She needs some serious retraining, in her job & on how to behave in public, lest she gets actually bitten by a dog less well trained & behaved than mine. Would not recommend giving these people your money if this is how they treat paying guests. Plenty of better pubs in town with more reasonable & respectful management.

I definitely had to get on and rate this cozy little pub. The moment you walk in you feel right at home with its decor to the facilities all opened nothing was a hassle to find. But what was best was the food oh my god! It was to die for. And the customer service and the cleanliness to The outdoor beer garden to the tv’s wood fire. If you truly want a quiet right at home vibe head to this pub! You won’t be disappointed.
