Traditional High Tea experience - Great staff, beautiful location, tasty food, good price!

We brought my mum and MIL for the High Tea at Fairmont Resort for a birthday and Mother’s Day present and we had such a great time.

We were greeted at the door by lovely staff and the smell of a fireplace, which set such a lovely tone for the afternoon. The high quality customer service was consistent throughout our dining experience and definitely made a difference. The location was beautiful with a fire place going, which was such a nice touch, esp since it was a cold day.

My favourite high tea place that I’ve visited so far, esp with what you get for the price. $49 a head for traditional, 2 hour limit and 2 drinks each (juice, tea or coffee).

We had halal dietaries, which they double checked with us when booking and again when we arrived, to explain the options and ensure we were well taken care of.

I also had the dairy-free high tea option, while the rest of my family had the normal halal option.

If you can handle the dairy, I’d definitely recommend the standard, as I had a taste of their cakes, and they were much better than the ones I had. However, the DF scones and sandwich options were still nice.

We all had a great time! Thank you to the staff and team who made it that much more special with their wonderful customer service and friendly conversation.

Our plan was to bush walk and explore the blue mountains…the kids didn’t want to leave the resort!

We had a terrific time. Our first time away as a family with 3 young kids. The resort is perfect for families. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The kids loved the pool, play areas, basketball court and ice skating. We really liked the casual vibe of the sublime lounge in the lobby. The staff were helpful and friendly. We felt very relaxed during our stay.

Lovely atmosphere, amazing staff, and beautiful views. We only stayed one night but enjoyed the cinema and had an incredible dinner at Embers — definitely the highlight. There’s plenty to do, especially for families. The TV wasn’t working due to a system issue, and the shower head could use an upgrade. It also would’ve been nice to have barista coffee or hot chocolate available through room service, but it wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Overall, a great stay and would love to come back if ever in the area again.

This resort offers a delightful experience with some notable highlights, though there are areas that could be improved.

Upon arrival on Thursday and Friday, the atmosphere was wonderfully peaceful, providing a serene start to the stay. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful, consistently going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. The food and cocktails were excellent, truly standing out as a culinary treat. The absolute STAR of the show was the UBIKA DAY SPA, which delivered an exceptional and rejuvenating experience.

However, the tranquillity shifted significantly over the weekend. Saturday and Sunday were very hectic and overrun with children, screaming up the hall at 11 pm. This unfortunately disrupted the peaceful ambiance expected from a resort.

Furthermore, it was apparent that the Resort needs a deep clean and dusting, especially the grand piano, banisters, and wooden chandeliers over the Embers Restaurant. Attention to these details would greatly enhance the overall impression of cleanliness and upkeep.

Overall, while the exceptional service, delicious offerings, and outstanding spa experience were fantastic, the resort could benefit from addressing the placement of families, perhaps by establishing designated "non-child" sleeping quarters for guests and separate "family" sleeping quarters. Additionally, implementing a more thorough cleaning regimen would help maintain a consistent standard of quality for all guests.

Relaxing Family Getaway
Our extended family booked 4 rooms and all of them were very comfortable and clean, including the pet friendly room.
We had a lovely time exploring the gardens and enjoyed many of the facilities including the sauna, pool, gym, ice ring and tennis courts.
As the resort is very family friendly, small kids are up early in the morning and can be noisy walking down the hallway to the lifts. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We felt a deep disappointment with our recent stay at this property. As guests visiting from Canada, we chose the Fairmont expecting the high standard of service and quality your brand is known for. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations in several key areas:
• The spa area was shockingly unclean, with visible green algae buildup around the waterline tiles—a clear sign of neglect and poor maintenance.
• Public bathrooms appeared to be rarely cleaned, if at all, which was both unsanitary and surprising for a hotel of this caliber.
• The children’s area was misleadingly advertised; in reality, it consisted only of arcade games, all of which required additional payment per use—offering little to no value for families.
• We were charged an extra $40 per night for a sofa bed that was completely unusable. It was uncomfortable to the point that no one could reasonably sleep on it.
• Staff interactions were disappointing. On multiple occasions, we found the team dismissive and unhelpful, making us feel as though our presence or inquiries were unwelcome.
• Finally, aside from paid add-ons, there were no complimentary or included activities. This is disheartening given the already substantial room rates.

Overall, we were left feeling that the experience did not reflect the Fairmont brand we’ve come to trust. We genuinely hope this feedback is taken seriously, and we respectfully request a refund or appropriate compensation for our stay, as the quality and service were not what was promised—or paid for.

I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Blue Mountains by MGallery. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the very good service and the warm, professional hospitality extended by the staff. They were consistently polite, attentive, and eager to assist, making the entire experience feel seamless and welcoming.

As a loyalty member, I truly appreciated the excellent recognition of my status. It’s always great to feel valued, and the hotel certainly made an effort to acknowledge and reward loyal guests in the best way possible.

The highlight of the stay, however, was undoubtedly the breathtaking views. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains, the hotel offers stunning scenery that adds an extra layer of tranquility and charm to the overall experience.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious retreat with top-tier service and unforgettable surroundings.
