Avoid like the plague. Worst experience in my life and I travel often for work.
Been all over Australia and most parts of the world and I have not experienced anything like this place and the lack of accountability from their manager.

This review is after a month of chasing up and waiting for this matter to be resolved. I don’t write negative feedback. I usually just let it go and not return to an establishment. I had to write this review to warn fellow travellers. Stay away.

We did one night here and it was okay. The room had a sewerage smell, which would unpleasant for those sensitive to odors luckily we weren't . Our room was right next to the site office, and we could hear staff eating and watching TikTok ?
The bed was fine and bathroom was pretty clean. Worn down old motel so keep your expectations low or spend the extra for nicer basic accomadation. 15 minute walk to Katoomba town centre which worked fine for us.

Absolutely disgusting!! After inspection of the room it was found that the fridge & bathroom was FULL of mould + evidence of condom wrappers was left on the bedside table! Staff at first refused to give me a refund but after contacting my booking agent I was able to get my money back. From reception to the room(s) both have an unappealing odour, not to mention the workers / cleaners obviously don’t take their job or role seriously. Will never be staying here again, would love to see the report of a governed cleaning inspection. If I could give it no stars I would. BEWARE!!! Do not stay here 🚩

I understand it’s a budget accommodation, but I didn’t expect a terrible smell and such an unclean room. The bed and mattress are very old and clearly not suitable for someone with allergies (possibly bed bugs). We had booked three rooms but decided not to stay and drove back home.

I recently stayed at the Blue Mountain Highway Motel and had a wonderful experience! The location is excellent, offering easy access to nearby attractions and scenic routes. The restaurant service was exceptional—delicious food and friendly staff who made every meal enjoyable. The boss was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. Overall, a great place to stay with excellent service and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We arrived late after full day travelling just as receptionist was leaving. Room totally filthy. I contacted the hotel and lady said no refund and place not dirty she cleaned it herself! Shower and bathroom floor dirty and full of mould so wouldn’t use it, Unable to wash in basin as no plug. Carpet filthy, cobwebs, double glazed window full of mould and dead flies. Place is health hazard and needs inspection by tourist authority.
I think photos say it all! If this is the standard which the lady admits she cleaned herself enough said.
The traffic noise is unbearable but most concerning is the standard of hygiene and cleanliness!
DO NOT ON ANY ACCOUNT GO THERE !!

Would not recommend this place. Rooms full of mould and bathrooms/rooms disgusting. Showers don't look like they have been cleaned for months. Toilets and sinks blocked. Very noisy all night. Easy to walk to town from here tho.

Do not stay here if you like clean or even hygienic.
Room was full of mould, shower was disgusting, carpets disgusting, bedding looked clean at least. The whole place is run down, no admin and really hard to get on the phone. Staff who maintain and clean were very friendly and did what they could to help but don’t let the photos fool you, it’s a highway truck stop at best for if you’re desperate for a rest. Spend the extra money and book somewhere else.
