Our large family group stayed at both the Cottage and the Homestead. The place was very clean and had all the necessary appliances and equipment to host the large family meals. Didn’t have to request anything extra. Location is very convenient. Water pressure was good - hot water a little erratic if multiple showers were being taken at the same time, but this was easily mitigated. Very comfortable beds and the kids loved the fire pits and watching the kangaroos at dusk and dawn. It’s not very long drive from Sydney but feels like a world away. Host is professional and easy to communicate with. Overall a lovely and comfortable stay!

We stayed in The Cottage for two nights on a midweek stay. The Cottage is well equiped and spacious. We used the bbq both nights and had a nice dinner dining outside. The accomodation is close to many wineries. The property is away from roads and it was very peaceful both day and night. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet holiday with beatiful views.

The perfect family holiday!
Rachel and James went above and beyond to make our stay the perfect family holiday! Having their aunts & uncles all together kept the children entertained whilst we were able to sit back and relax then we explored the local sites! Golf afternoons, BBQ’s, fire pit nights & all the wineries were beyond our wildest dreams just mesmerising, then the chocolate factory was the perfect afternoon treat! Just wow! Thankyou 🙏❤️

This is a lovely cottage in a peaceful setting with great views. The beds are excellent and all the linen supplied is of high quality. The bathrooms are good with strong water pressure in the shower. The kitchen is equipped with all we needed - including Nespresso coffee (pod) machine -- and milk frother! Nice outside area for BarBQ and watching the kangaroos hop by. The cottage has a very high standard of cleanliness. James, the host was helpful and welcoming. We went to 4 Pines for lunch one day and to a wine tasting at Tintilla. I would recommend both.

Had a wonderful time at Hunter Gleann. James and Rachael are so helpful. We had some problems with the front door and within an hour James had it all fixed. Lovely location, excellent facilities and very private. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool, waking up in the morning to have a coffee on the back deck while watching kangaroos and all that wonderful space for the kids to run around. We had such a fabulous time. Would highly recommend and would 100% go back. James had mentioned an olive tour with a glass of wine in hand when we were last with him a few months ago? We were really looking forward to that so maybe next time! We ended up going to a local winery and buying some of your olives... delish 😊

Hermitage Hideaway was the ideal place for our weekend stay with our group of friends, attending a concert at a local winery. The house is clean and spacious, the beds are large and very comfortable and with 3 bathrooms and ample space for us to relax and enjoy ourselves, no one felt on top of each other. Being Summer, we made use of the pool and were able to walk to nearby cafes and restaurants. It is very convenient to wineries and the bus to take us to the concert was at the end of the drive. Hosts Rachael and James were friendly and accommodating and we all agreed we would definitely recommend Hermitage Hideaway to our friends. Looking forward to a return visit!

What another amazing weekend at Hunter Gleann! Back for a second stay, this time with old school friends celebrating our milestone birthdays. I thought it would be perfect for our occasion yet it even managed to exceed my expectations! We stayed in the homestead. With 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, two lounge areas, kitchen and dining area plus outdoor seating, there was plenty of space for us. The little touches were noticeable throughout our stay such as the welcome surprise and attention to detail of this immaculate property. We loved the peace and quiet, enjoying a wine and cheese overlooking the beautiful views,watching the kangaroos on the lawn, walking through the olive grove and sampling Hunter Gleanns amazing olives. We opted for the full day private tour with our host James of Hunter Gleann Private Tours, which was the most enjoyable and relaxing way to maximise our time in the Hunter region. On our tailor made tour, we were treated to private tastings and a behind the scenes peak at winemaking. We visited three wineries, tasted olives, chocolates and cheeses and enjoyed a delicious lunch. We had so much fun on our weekend getaway at Hunter Gleann that we are already planning our next stay!! Thanks James and Racheal. What an exceptional Hunter Valley experience!!

The Cottage was immaculately clean and in a wonderful location. Well equipped and very comfortable. A highlight was waking each morning and spotting the kangaroos. The location was secluded enough to feel a world away from the big smoke but central enough to easily get to all the amazing vineyards and attractions of the Hunter Valley. Rachael is a very generous and welcoming host. We loved our stay and wished we had longer. Would definitely recommend to friends.
