My wife and I had a great meal, celebrating our wedding anniversary with a lunch. This was our first time here, it wasn’t cheap, but we also didn’t hold back and you could dine here for cheaper.

The food was delicious, especially the steak tartare, the service was quick and responsive and there were no long waits for the food. Good selection of cocktails and wines.

We will definitely be back.

The food was ok but the service let the experience down.

You'd expect for that price point way more efficiency but we found our table waiting long periods of time because our waitress was chatting away with the table behind us. Ended up cancelling drinks because they never came...

The food was ok. I'd say above average but far from amazing. The atmosphere of the place isn't really there with lights so bright. If you'd gone to more fine dining venues you'd know that a dimmer light, some candles here and there goes a long way to set a more sophisticated mood.

It wasn't a bad experience but lower your expectations if you decide to try.

We were sitting at the bar upstairs and I found the atmosphere quite cold with a strange lighting.
Very disappointed with the service...when you spend $125 on a steak we were expecting more advice from the waiters to guide our choice. Aside from letting us know what dishes were popular he could not really explain what differences were between meat cuts and meat types...
I found the food lacked also a bit of seconding.
The meat was delicious though but for the price we were expecting better in the overall experience

Pleasant atmosphere, carpet keeps the noise down. Very good aged beef options, vegetables fairly limited but delicious. Desserts not impressive but quite cheap. Service very good, overall very enjoyable dinner.

Decided on red meat for dinner and where better than Debutant.
Delicious dinner with a potato bread and carpaccio to start, followed by a Steak Tartare main and a Wagyu Striploin with side dishes of Garlic Mushroom and Paris Mash. Hubby likes the steak here and it also has my favourite steak tartare.

A really lovely restaurant that has such amazing food and staff. The wait staff were very helpful as we had no idea what steak to get. They answered every question well and helped us choose. The steaks were super flavourful and delicious. The sauces were exceptional too.

The steak frites sauce (peppercorn) is definitely strong on the pepper spice so if you don’t like pepper, ask for the sauce on the side or a different one.

The chips bowl was pretty big, so would share with others!

The Dutch carrots were amazing as well, highly recommend as a side!

My Husband and I were passing through Wollongong and had such an amazing dining experience at Debutant.

All the staff were wonderful and very attentive. Shout out to Griffin who assisted us in deciding on the best tasting steaks we’ve had to date! Our soufflé and carpaccio entrees were just as enjoyable. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
