You can tell straight away this is not a multi chain hotel. Staff friendly and helpful,beer cold, food really good and rooms clean and comfortable, only down side is the shared bathroom but they are clean and modern and it is a pub! Very short trip for me but next time I'm in the gong I will be staying here and recommending it to my friends. Hrat value for money. Owners should be proud.

Amazing pub with a great vibe and attentive service. The 12 for $12 menu is a fantastic deal! Everything we ordered was delicious. Perfect spot to watch the State of Origin, with big screens and a lively crowd.

Live this place. I've literally never had a bad meal. Everything I've ever ordered has been great. I mean mouth watering great. Staff are nice and it has pool tables. Gambling to if you are into it. Prices are very reasonable too. Kid friendly. I gotta start taking pics of my food going forward.

This place is a typical pub fair with great quality food with all the usual pub amenities. The staff are friendly and approachable. I stayed at the hotel upstairs as well which was well-maintained, clean and well serviced. Would definitely be back here again in the future.

I had a great stay at the Five Islands Hotel! The room was perfect and well equipped - shared bathroom was spotless and felt like an en-suite as was right next door to the room. Definitely worth it for a cheap stay as a solo traveller - a short train ride into Wollongong CBD. Thanks 🙂

Clean, tidy and smells nice. Bathroom looks newly refurbished and hygienic. Walls are thin and noisy late night visitors were annoying. Water flowing through pipes from other rooms showers was annoying too. However, no noise from the pub next door and by midnight all was quiet. Then slept well.

It's a local pub with plenty of things going on but the standard pub fare gets a bit monotonous when its not exceptional. I frequent this place for various events or occasions and common complaints are lack of vegan options and mediocre food. In saying that its what you'd expect from a puby kind of place but could become exceptional with a bit of flare. Not the worst, not the best. Worth spending time with family or friends but wouldn't go out of my way to go here. Kids are well catered for, nice greenery and well stocked for a drink.

The hotel has a TAB and a bar right downstairs, which is very convenient. There are free parking spaces outside (limited availability). The room looks just like the photos, and the bathroom and shower are clean. Overall, it’s great value for money!
